GoQ.1048
i tend to not do this but i have to say thanks with kind appriciation to whom ever decided to push for this change.i still remember the concept of guild alliances someone posted in the old forum and if it was you anet employer on an alias or you just picking it up im rooting for this change.over the years many of us changed their server once or twice, maybe more often or even going back and forth as there was the raid guild on one, the server you felt closest to relate to the other and your roaming/pvp partners you made friends with somewhere else. servermerges destroyed the identy of the players who were left playing a not supported gamemode with their former server community as faces turned up u may had a grudge with or you have no band with at all. and in time you began to realize more and more its the people you surround yourself with closest who make this game enjoyable even in dire times of great unballance. and those people were mostly found in your guilds.over the years we also saw a heavy decline of importance for guilds in all gamemodes and later on a heavy decline in challenges for them aswell. capped server populations made sure of that they could not compete vs other guilds pushing them back into pve arenas in a different ballanced gamemode and most recent in pve raids.by placing guilds and the people in it in the center of attention and by saying they are our servers and home and worthwhile sparetime i actually do have hope for what was a hopeless case.over the years and esp since servermerges people lost more and more interest in a system based on points and the focus shifted more towards a respect for k/d ratios and competitive fights. yet at the same time they have so little influence of an actual match outcome and yet at the same time guild vs guild stayed unsupported and more and more of them abandoned the game or allready had.again.. by placing guilds in the center of our attention i also really hope for you anet to have another look at their old ideas and concepts of those guilds to give them a place in the one gamemode they should have a place. by guilds i not only mean raiding guilds but also those doing smallscale.obsidian sanctum feels like the place you wanted them to be. the jumping puzzle there has no further meaning in this game anyway since the jp isnt required for map completion anymore.os though is the perfect place for gvg's and was used as such and will be used as such again with the world destruction as guilds can easier have access to other guilds they want to compete against.for me personally though it could have another stance of importance if you would allow them to do the gvg in an os instance and everyone joining os whos not in the guild being able to go into a spectate mode. not only would that reduce the possibility of grievy interference in fights and a performance gain but also allow the competing guilds to focus on the fight purely, to gain access to easier attention to wvw as a gamemode and in a long stretch it could even be a last straw to esports (ikr).with great effort it was done in the past allready by the community itself by reducing that effort for all parties (viewer/competing guilds) by giving them all easier access to the beauty of competitivness, by giving them a separate display of their doing, this game called guildwars could only gain with so little effort to maintain and manage from companys perspective.that said and talking over and over about the competitive aspect of wvw i really wish to see points and k/d ratio on more equal terms in a match outcome. it would also reduce the grieviance between the parties of ppt and pvp as both gain an equal stance and perspective.competitive gameplay though can only thrive in a ballanced game. i really do hope that the upcoming balance patches will also have wvw (pvp balance on pve gear) in mind when it comes to this and i really do hope someone would look into the areas covered by guildbuffs oncemore as there is so little space even outside of objects to fight without them. reducing their object surrounding area wouldn't hurt the gamemode at all.that said thanks alot again for breaking the ice, for listening and for the effort of reviving wvwgeez i did the reddit thing
