How to ranked: druid.

They can be killed, but they have to be really bad. Not that they were already powerful, but now their most used pets are even stronger. It's very good to have a profession able to solo every kind of build and still have high mobility with stealth and superspeed. And it's really good to see how I can stack 25 stacks of Might, Fury, Protection on my pets so they can simply dispatch my opponents while I keep autoattacking on staff to fill my Celestial Avatar. It's also extremely nice to see how my beautiful pets can endure damage and conditions because they are resilient and it matters naught if I send my conditions to them! I'll heal them just like I heal myself!

I think you need to learn to read a little better. The changes only affected Beastmode skills in Soulbeast. You're literally crying over nothing.

What does it matter? Every other class that could push or compete for the role of druid has been nerfed, so they'll rise as side node holders and be a fucking annoyance there 24/7.

I think you need to learn to read a little better. The changes only affected Beastmode skills in
Soulbeast
. You're literally crying over nothing.

And still they're left untouched. Very good balance.

Doesn't take as much skill to play an elementalist effectively. If you really think it takes an incredible amount of skill to play druid well you must be a slow learner.

They also have plenty of windows they're open for attack. Just don't attack them when you see the big red square under their boons.

If you hit them when theyre open then they're forced to retreat off point to heal. At that point, it's pretty hard to kill them due to their insane sustain, but you can bully them off point and keep it capped, which is essentially winning.

The problem of druid is that it's a bunker and our forums always had problems with bunkers...any kind of basically...seen it for years.

Forums don't accept any class than can't die easily in 1v1 and completely don't understand concept of contesting node.

Truth is that people don't know what rotation is in conquest...and that rotations ,,kill" bunker builds. People can't except fact that you can do the same thing and block his close while he's contesting your close, just ignore him, +1 him with class that is made for +1...everything needs to always die whatever they do, no matter how s**ty their build is and on what skill level they are...if you have to do something that doesn't require to kill class/build to deal with it - it's not balanced in general standard of forum.

I don't say druid hasn't so many ways to deal with pressure and outnumbers but realistically can druid below plat deal with:

  1. +1 of thief/mesmer?
  2. Be at least decaped by scourge in 1v1?
  3. Don't mess up something in 1v1 against spellbraker/holo and die?

This, all of this.Every time a druid sits on a node, I see two or three of my teammates waste time against it instead of trying to out-rotate the bunker itself and win teamfights and pressure the enemy's home node. People focus too much on what they can kill over what they can outplay. Even if you cant kill it, you can force the Druid to give up a cap or retreat, and much like any other side-node bunker, forcing them to leave is a win in itself.

Does that mean that Druid still cant have some small shaves here and there? No, there's a number of things that could be done to make them more "fair". However, if you shave it, at least focus on Druid and not botch core ranger aspects in the process.

Honestly it's just like @Euthymias.7984 said. You shouldn't contest a bunker on their node, it's one of the most basic rules in pvp. The only time it's ok to contest on a point against a bunker; is if its yours or if you can survive (not die) 1v2 on a neutral point.

The reason they are a bunker is because they are specifically built to never die. Keep that in mind and use it to your advantage.

Druid isn't a bunker, it is supposed to be a side-node bruiser. It has way too much damage (thanks to pets) to be a bunker. It has too much mobility to fit the general rules of a bunker.

As a bruiser, it has too much team support (ressing, healing, giving boons). It wins every single 1v1, has way too many ways to reset, has too much damage to pressure anyone else, and too much mobilty to perform superior rotations. It is is literally exactly like old d/d ele, except on steroids. If this game still had serious tournaments, people would start trolling with 5x druid teams, because they would never die, would in every 1v1, and still have pretty good damage to win teamfights through steady pressure+sustain.

Toss some random dodges here and there, heal when you're below 50% hp, use signet of stone when you're at 25% hp.

Congratz, you will survive against 99% builds with your eyes closed.

Druid has been part of the meta and busted for years. People just don't complain about it as much because we have gotten used to it being broken. Patch after patch anet refuses to nerf Druid for pvp so we just sort of gave up and accepted that Druid is clearly the balance teams favorite class and will never be nerfed end of story.

Funny how people complain about druid now but actually nothing changed. Druids counters actually weren't nerfed as its 3 biggest counters pre-patch were holo, FA ele and thief, and they still are. Druid could dance around necros and mirages for days pre-patch and it still can. Druids are countered by heavy power burst, not condis.

This is purely an observation, but every time I open a PvP thread, it's someone complaining and demanding a nerf for some other class. Trying to disguise that complaint as the person who is overpower is nothing new nor is it cute.

Please quit coming to the forums every time you die in PvP. Yes, sometimes it's the class. But a lot more often? It's you.

A druid that dies to holo is a very bad druid.

So, it begins! hahahahhahhahaThis forum is infinite tears, no matter what the devs does.Can't deal with condis, kill the condi builds.Can't deal with sustain, kill sustain builds.Can't deal with CC + burst, OMG KILL THAT DAMN POWERCREEP BUILDS.It never ends ;)

To the L2P train: CC lock + power burst = kill druids.Come on, spellbreakers, holosmiths, sword/dagger thieves... All counters, some got buffed in this patch.You don't want balance, you want a comfort zone where you can play like PvE.You're NEVER satisfied.

Nope, druid is the easiest way for the balance team to avoid a full rework of ranger, as seen already, soulbeast can get easily outsustained by all meta specs when played correctly...it has the second least sustain out of all PoF/HoT elites

As already said by few members problem is bad rotations, people don't understand that in the map exist THREE CAPS and not only mid and close, if they bunker close just go far, instead people yell why you went far idiot, and they are all 4 wasting time on close while the other 2 caps are hold by the enemies.
