AllNightPlayer.1286
It’s pretty unfair to remove Skilled Marksman. Every profession can buff their weapons (including the standard 20 % cd reduction in most cases). You even changed the system yourselves some time ago, so these traits shall not only provide a simple 20 % cd reduction, but a nice overall bonus, too.But now, the Engineer can’t buff his rifle and harpoon gun at all.Reintroduce a trait for rifle/harpoon gun! Every profession has it. Every specialisation gets it.
Ivantreil.3092
Idk, the CD reduction alone wasnt enough for compete against the actual No Scope, and for good reason, our Rifle alone with zero modifiers is a lackluster of weapon, it needs damage modifiers in order to deal respectable damage, cd reduction wasnt cutting it, and wont cut it if its reintroduced just like it was, quite a bummer i must said, but its the least of my concerns honestly, rifle can and will workout without it
Rezzet.3614
our rifle skills have low enough cooldowns where the 20% cd reduction does nothingour rifle's needs are basically 50% more damage maybe on low range blunderbussOvercharge being unblockable
Atmaweapon.7345
They should just make Chemical Rounds baseline and re-add Skilled Marksman in on the Adept Major tier of Firearms while also making it affect Pistols. Core Engineer weapons autos aren't that great this would be a nice buff to Condi Engineers in PvE and PvP. Making Chemical Rounds baseline also makes Sword/Pistol setups more attractive. Lunateric.3708
I think skilled marksman is one of the more useless traits there was for engi in any game mode, it's a welcome change

Ardid.7203
Skilled Marskman wans't that good, but it was something other profession have WAY BETTER. IMO is ok to change SM for something else, AS LONG AS IT BECOMES BASELINE. Rifle auto is weak enough as it is, it should receive some love in some way. Holesale.2640
This was the perfect opportunity to make skilled marksman baseline, it wouldn't be much of a buff to rifle but it would be a start.
Ten.2617
Was a good and needed change.Rifle got a minor buff with net shoot damage (could also toogle to a secondary skill that explodes the net, damaging foes around the target), and the new trait allows híbrid builds. I think its the only AA (main weapon, not kit) weapon that is one skill/attack only and therein is the issue. Oh wait, buff sword 1 and 2, a weapon that was already ok with its AA....really? Yea, you gotta wonder sometimes.
