New Impossible odds synergy?

The new impossible odds adds an extra attack with an 1/4 internal cd.So how much do we get out of skills which hit multiple times with one activation like Enchanted Daggers, Surge of the Mists, precision strike or shackling waves?The energy cost for impossible odds is now lower so we can use more skills with it while its active. It seems like this should convince us to not just use auto attacks with impossible odds. Does somebody know if livesteal on attacks count as hit to activate the extra attack from impossible odds?

Lifesteal doesn't count as a hit. It is a modifier attached on to the end of a hit. And yes, the new IO hit triggers lifesteal. This isn't so much a synergy insomuch as it is the death by a thousand cuts model that Anet has been designing rev around for awhile now.

For reference, I did a DPS test comparing vengeful hammers to Impossible odds. Hammers did 24k DPS. Impossible Odds did 26k DPS. Overall, IO is a small DPS increase at best, so long as you're fighting against a single target.
