Ipomoea Jalapa.6897
I got disqualified 2/2 times even though I was well within the starting area (marked by the light blue rectangle) each time. On the second time I even sat in the middle of it on my Skimmer for about 3 seconds after the "Go!", only to be disqualified as soon as I moved outside the blue line. Also, I'm curious why it's called a "Skimmer" race when it doesn't matter what kind of mount you use (or not).
Donari.5237
Both the Isles races are borked at the start. Last time I did the village race, five or so of us headed out -- and all five turned around and went to talk to the race admin to restart. Which for me still didn't cure it, I had to run back and forth through the first gate a lot before it finally registered me, and then I ended up coming in second (race counter even said two racers finished as the lead and I stood there) but it was the next person through quite a few seconds later who got second place credit (factors: I have previously achieved a win in that race, I had already done the daily race at Inquest and was just doing this one with a guildie who needed it, he was the winner and also saw the misaligned credit). The Inquest race similarly refuses to trigger the first gate until you've spoken to the admin a few times and circled back and forth between the green bars. Sometimes it seems to finally trigger once I shove the middle of my hit box through a green pillar. They're fun races once the starting hurdle is done. I particularly enjoy the special action you get in the Inquest race. As to why "the Skimmer race," my theory is it's because the only mounts the Olmakhans have are skimmers. For me it's a raptor race through and through :)
Evangeleen.7459
I am having an issue with the inquest race (the actual skimmer one.) I do the race and at the end, it registers that I cross the finish line. But two times I have come in 2nd and did not receive the achievement either time. Even tho the event records me as someone crossing the finish line, a friend of mine who was third got the notice across the screen that she was 2nd. I even got the gold reward for participating but again, no achievement.
Gudy.3607
These issues are not unique to the races in Sandswept Isles. The race in the Brightwater Inlet in the Desert Highlands has the same problems (and I suspect a couple more races can bug out that way, too). Ayakaru.6583
True for every race:Timer starts and endsthe GO notification appearsthere's a 2-3 second disqualification periodthe first flagpost turns green.Once the first flagpost turns it's safe to leave the box. Not when the GO notification appears. This has been true since the first races appeared.I've reported it several times, but apparantly it's 'designed' and 'not bugged'shrug¯_(ツ)_/¯
Aenaos.8160
The synchronisation between the moment you get the "Go" signal and the actual beginningof the race is terrible. What I do is wait until the first pair of gate markers become activated and green and thenexit the start area.
