Hello, I'm a returning player looking for a guild to try and get back into the game. I lost a lot of my understanding thus I can technically be treated as a new player. Looking for a developing guild (smaller) that is trying to develop as a community into a bit of everything. I'm on SoS but willing to switch if I can get the assistance for switching. My timezone is EST. Would prefer discord as a chat method if they run it but can use TS3 if not. Thank you.

Hiya, Codmando!

I have a question for you-- what is it about a developing guild that appeals to you, rather than an established community? I'm asking because the guild I'm in COULD be a good fit for you, but the community is well-established and thriving. However, we're always looking for great members who bring new perspectives and camaraderie to our existing activities. We're not stuffy or closed-off or anything. ;)

Let me know your thoughts on the developing vs. established thing and if you're flexible on that point. Thanks and best of luck in your search!

Hey Codmando, welcome back to GW2! Tyrs Paladium is a growing guild in GW2 with more established chapters in NW, ESO and DDO. We are a casual group of players 30+ in age, that focuses on teamwork and camaraderie. We have had several returning players join our ranks recently, so you will not be alone in your rediscovery of Tyria and all the changes (elite specs, mounts, oh my!). We do use TS3 as our primary voice comms and we have a dedicated website for info sharing and event planning.

As far as switching servers, there is no need unless you want to do WvW. We are officially on Dragonbrand, but I would say 50% of our membership is on other servers. We tend to focus on PvE where your primary server doesn't come into play. Also, ANET has some future plans that would allow all members of a guild to be grouped for WvW, but that is some time off still.

We run fractals several times a week, dungeons less frequently, and are working our way up to raiding. We also have guild missions and guild events that we run as well.

If you would like to read more about our guild ammenties, click HERE

And if all that sounds good to you, please go to tyrspaladium.shivtr.com

You will need to create a Shiv forum account to gain access:Click GW2 in the upper left to select the Guild Wars 2 ChapterClick APPLY in the upper rightComplete the Application

We look forward to hearing from you!

Auro, Officer Tyrs Paladium

Greetings Codmando,

Maybe my little home will be of interest to you. We're called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a small, casual/semi-casual yet social, 18+, PvE, family on Tarnished Coast (though as long as you're on a NA server, it doesn't matter too much unless you plan to WvsW heavily). We're currently trying to rebuild our core ranks in order to have more regular guild events. Right now, we have events on Sundays and Tuesdays, focusing on things like Dungeons, Fractals, Living World Story Content, hero point chasing, etc. We hope to add more in the future as our ranks grow. Our current peak time tends to be in the mid-late evening EST, though we have a few others from various time zones.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact. We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you'll be away, and all is well.

We do not demand 100% representation. It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family. We are very LGBTQ+ affirmative and do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words, comments, bigotry etc. toward anyone regardless of nationality, race, religious beliefs, gender identity or sexuality. Anyone violating that policy is subject to immediate removal, no questions asked.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it's dungeons/Fractals, builds, and other general game questions. All you need to do is ask. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we'll have fun regardless.

We also have a Discord, but use of the voice chat is on a purely optional basis, although using the text channels is expected.

For more information, check out our Guild Website.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to drop me a note here or contact me in game and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Hey Codmando,The Laughing Llamas [LOL] is a growing guild that meets your requirements. We are a good group of people who do our best to help each other and keep it a drama free environment. Our officers have been playing the game since its release and have a lot of knowledge about the game and its mechanics. We schedule a variety of events weekly, which include all aspects of GW2 (PvP, WvW, fractals, HP/Bounty Trains, Metas, and raids). Please note that we are not a family-friendly guild but we are respectful of each other’s personal life choices. Friendly banter/trash talking however, is commonplace to include strong language and crude/dark humor. Because of this, we recommend you look elsewhere if you recognize yourself to be easily offended.

Discord is how we communicate and it is very active. If you're interested send me a reply on here or in game.

-Podge, LOL Guild Officer

I am also returning as a too far gone player. I think I left last time because of 2 things... hard drive died and someone was trying to hack my account. But that was many many many years ago and I am sure security has improved a bit. Back then I only had a tiny hard drive and it was bad and now its all solid states with maxed out ram! YAY! not sure how long Guild Wars holds onto items for players maybe all things are gone and starting from scratch?Well I will see when I enter the game #LOL

Hello _ ^ I'm also on EST timezone, and most of our activtes take place around 6:00 PM EST, but we do have players from other timezone, since we have an International guild members. Perhaps you would be interested in joining The Phantom Rose [TPR] seeing that we are trying to hit a sweet spot where the size of our guild is neither too big nor too small, if that's something your interested in, have a look at our post and website for more info. 1) https://thephantomrose.weebly.com/

Sorry, I havnt been managing this post like I should have. I guess it doesn't 100% matter to me that much its just that I'm spoiled guild mentally between larges vs small from my first guild. My first guild was rather different and way unofficial. There was not official times for raids or dungeons like I see mostly now. It was more of a, "Have you done the raid yet? Ok let me see if any other guilds have members after that we'll fill it up with the rest." It was in a different game though but our 8 members literally would rerun dungeons and raids multiple times to help 1 of our members or heck even members of the server complete it in time. (i specifically remember running the same raid 5+ times because I was the guild's only healer and we made sure all our members completed it.) I guess thats what I'm more looking for. Less of the "oh you missed raid day or fractal time. Looks like your not completeing things." and more of the "Oh yea i have time I'll hop in to help with fractals."

If you feel like your guild fits more of a direction like that. Please message me in-game and talk to me. I'm always happy to respond and talk. But I will say right now I think its better for me to remain guileless until I wander into a guild that wants or needs me and can make me remember my first guild experiences.

And to that I say if your a small guild who needs extra people to just fill up ranks for guild missions, raids, dungeons. Let me know I don't mind helping.

Heya!

Actually, even though Remnants of Hope is not a "small" guild, I think we do actually have the type of people you're looking to hang out with.

I'll drop the link to our recruitment post HERE, but I'm happy to message you in-game so we can chat and see if we may be a good fit. :)
