Vicus.5841
Hey guys, I am wondering what are some very good store items for someone coming back. barely played...want to get into it. What items are considered must haves on the store if you want to make life easier. Also are there any items that are seasonal that arent on the store right now that I should save to buy when they pop back on? i notice the new harvesting tools for the mana currency and the new one that does extra logs. Those worth it? Would like some guidance from those who been around awhile. Thank you

Get a few Shared Inventory Slot, and throw your unlimited gathering tools in there, make sure you buy the ones that come with Glyphstop one to get is Watchwork Mining Pick which gets you Watchwork Sprockets quite often, which sells for quite a bit on the Trading Postfor combo set get Infinite Unbound Magic Gathering Tools only if you have HoT with LWS3 maps unlocked (or plan to get it)
Glider.5792
Copper fed salvage-o-matic and Silver fed salvage-o-matic are 100% must buy, also put them into shared inventory slots.Another thing which would be great is any of the VIP passes, the best one is probably Mistlock sanctuary pass. Basicaly its a hub where you have almost all npcs(banker, trading post, you name it) available in a small place https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mistlock_Sanctuary. There are also others https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lounge so you can easily chose the one of your liking.
BunjiKugashira.9754
Like @crepuscular.9047 said you'll propably want some infinite gathering tools. Also once you've tried the infinite copper salvagomatic you don't want to go back. Get another shared inventory slot for that. If you find the big cities too cumbersome, you might consider getting a vip area pass. My personal favourite is the mistlock sanctuary. Beware though, as there are temporary and permanent passes that come and go from time to time.

Valandor.9506
A small list I really! advise to get short-medium-term range:Copper-Fed Salvage-o-MaticSilver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic (not always available; on short term Mystic Tools work as well)a set of infinity gathering tools; think currently Infinite Unbound Magic Gathering Tools are available: get them, if you can!(close to) full out Bag Slots for your main character; you wont regret having 200-320 slots later in the game with several gear sets and utility items, trust medefinitly the Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey (as soon you can get the infinite one); check YouTube for why ^^, there is also basicly every vendor and important NPC availableget a few Bank Slots as soon as possible, no need to max out instantlyShared Inventory Slots are definitly helpful, yeah, but not that much for beginners I would say. Also you should have a few after buying expansions anyway. These should be enough for Infinity Salvage kits and maybe a Passkey. They are pretty expensive as well. My advise: Buy one tops and wait for discounts.
Holykitten.3064
Silverfed Salvage-o-Matic.Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey. As many bank tabs as you can.A set of Permanent Gathering tools.Enough shared inventory slots for your 3 tools, Passkey, Salvage-o-Matic. (You’ll have 2 from buying the expansion) I’ve never felt the need to buy extra bag slots, so I didn’t. And they’re character bound not account bound, so if you like alts, it’ll get pricey. Steve The Cynic.3217
The reasons that people recommend the Mistlock Sanctuary pass are:Its exit portal (all the lounges have one) has an extra option that sends you back to the map you were previously on.It has extra Fractal-related NPCs that aren't in the other lounges. The "Lily of the Elon" pass is useful for sending characters to the PoF maps without having to push them through the beginning of the PoF story, because it is directly in the edge of Amnoon in the Crystal Oasis map.The "Noble's Folly" pass is useful for sending characters to the HoT maps because the lounge has a walk-through exit into Verdant Brink - exit into VB, then WP to the "entrance" area.
