Malediktus.9250
Even if you are on a different map than the rest of your squad, leaving the squad boosts my FPS by roughly 9%. I tested this with squad sizes of 20-45 people.I cant think of any good reason why something simple as a squad interface should cost that many FPS, especially if you are on a different map so all the health values, boons and conditions on the squad are not getting processed by your CPU anymore. Blocki.4931
Really? First time I heard of this, might explain a few things though.Have you tried changing the UI size for it? I tend to just turn it into a thin strip on the side because it annoys the everliving hell out of me
Malediktus.9250
Pretty sure about it. I can reproduce this effect every time and made sure to check it at different locations with no other players or stuff going on to mess with the results. Interface Size is set to normal.squad interface is not to set anything special for me:
Ray Koopa.2354
I always leave it at the minimum size where player name labels disappear. Maybe it's this slow text rendering again stealing your FPS. On an old PC of mine, hiding player names also gave me an FPS boost. As if they're not drawn to texture and re-measured every time they're drawn...
