I'm trying to download the game but when I download it a pop up appears saying the game can only be downloaded as an administrator account. I am on the administrator account. Healix.5819 Posted June 3, 2018 Share Posted June 3, 2018 You may be an administrator, but you don't always have the privileges of an administrator, which you need to specifically request by right clicking the executable and choosing to run it as an administrator.Simply download Gw2Setup.exe, rename it to Gw2.exe and place it wherever you want to install it, such as C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe. Alternatively, right click Gw2Setup.exe and run it as an administrator. GW2 installs to Program Files by default, which is a protected directory that needs administrative privileges to modify.
