What's up everyone, I'm sure there's a ton of these post but I'll throw another on the pile. I got the game at launch leveled a warrior to 65 then stopped playing. I just re downloaded the game today....I have no clue at all what to do or where to start. I figured I'd start a new profession from 1, is there a more solo friendly class? as none of my friends play the game anymore. I mainly only focus on PvE in these types of games, Anything stronger for solo play? Anything I should do to start out? I have a ton of birthday bags with boosts for everything but I haven't used any of it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Warrior is fine; you can use any class at PvE but the main advantages of your current character are that is easy to play and can be used with either condition damage or direct physical builds, plus the wide array of weapons. So you can change your gameplay a lot without moving to other classes.

Get to max level first would be my suggestion. If you're getting daily log in rewards that is. If not, buy the expac

I got the HOT xpac for $14 but I don't really see any login rewards??.....How bad would it be to auto level a class to like 30 or 40? Would there be a drawback to that for someone that has no clue what to do...lol. Also how do you know what stuff to train in the skills window?

you'd have even less clue of what to do against mobs that are smarter than core mobs. As for what to train, that's up to you and what you want to do. You'll have everything maxed out by 80 even without getting any hero points, any hp you get is just extra and speeds up the process. hot and pof hps are worth 10 points each, espec requires more hps than core specs

The most beginner friendly professions are warrior, ranger and necromancer. Since you will be focusing on PvE, then you don't have to worry about which profession is better than the other when it comes to PvE. Every profession is viable. If you don't have the expansions, I suggest you play your one and only character up to level 80 and see if you like the game at that point. If you do, then buy the expansions, especially since they are on a sale.

Just don't use the level 80 boosters that the expansions give you. The boosters give your characters awful gear and weapons and they just ruin the whole learning experience with the profession you're playing. Unless you're using the boosters just to unlock the glider from HoT or the mounts from PoF, there is no reason to use them. The best thing you can do with those boosters is deleting them from your shared inventory slots so you can have more space in your inventory.

Not sure about daily login rewards, probably contacting support would be the best solution. As for what to train: you don't have to worry about what to train because you will have more than enough points to train everything you have. The only thing I would suggest, however, is looking up an open world build for leveling or something like that and train the skills needed there first. That would just improve your leveling experience a bit. Having the necessary skills unlocked and available that is.
