Hello! I'm seeking advice on getting into raiding.

Recommended Posts

Hello! I've had this game since release but I took a huge break when HoT released and I came back to the game a few months after PoF released. So I have no experience in raids of this game and I would love to give it a shot! I've done some research and I have a strong grasp on how it all works so I have being trying to gear my characters to the best I can using various guides. So far I have a full ascended geared dps spellbreaker, and half exotic/half ascended geared harrier Heal/support Druid and dps zerk Holosmith. I find these 3 play styles to be the most enjoyable so far so i'm sticking with those for the moment.

So my question is. I have no idea how to get started. My first guess is to find a guild that raids but I don't really know where to start to find these guilds. I heard there's Raid training discords out there and I managed to find the EU group, but i feel lost on how it all works. I've raided semi-hardcore in other mmos before such as World of Warcraft for years so I'm used to the idea of getting buffs and working with tactics for hours until the boss dies.

Any raiders out there can give me tips on how they started raiding? Any guilds you recommend I should try and contact? Any info at all would be awesome!

Thank you :)

Look in the recruitment forums here, and optionally on reddit, for "RAID TRAINING" guilds. If you have trouble finding them, make a post asking for one.

Then talk to them about their schedules and requirements, and see if they suit you. If not, repeat with another guild. :)

Can you be more specific on what you find confusing on the training group (assuming that you are referring to Crossroads Inn)? Things are pretty straightforward in general. There is a standard schedule, you use a form to register and if there are more ppl than commanders you get chosen randomly to join a training.

Pretty much everything is explained in the FAQ channel. Did you read it? What was confusing?

It took me a while but I figured it out. I think my knowledge on using discord and the pin system was shaky so i struggled figuring it out at first.
