There certainly are. :)

I like how you guys are fine tuning some specs...

Sad I won't be around much longer to enjoy the game, killing off my ability to queue with friends in PvP has inevitable turned a lot of my friends to other games and I wish to continue playing with them. What's even worse is that you wouldn't have had to worry about over nerfing some specs like Mirages or Druids if players were able to team queue and co-ordinate against said builds in PvP, they're only super effective against solo players.

You guys have no idea how good you have it

Mh, but to be honest, this is just a rare case. PvP gets some attention here and there about bugs and stuck games, but for example, the Deadeye rework was a one-post and no other tought, no other explanation, the reasons for that (apart from the opening post) or something on it why and how. Two responses on the bugs or something by Robert Gee. That's it.

The users, however, created
1,082 responses
and gathered
over 62,000 views
and about 2 months of total silence by aNet. That's not great, it's the real opposite.RIOT in their early state was far, far superior to that. Just check the devtracker, too. It's either joke threads with banter or bug reports that are aknowledged.

The forum chat is too selected in my opinion, but fair enough, if you wish to count that in...

If I check the Bless updates (yes, I also enjoy the few working breadcrumps of that game!), they have more attention on their more frequent developer letters than arenaNet in the last couple of months.

EDIT: Maybe they need good PR now after the "We don't ask for your feedback" debacle on Twitter [Mr. O'Brien: "We make the game for you, we care"] and they post 2 more posts a week for a while until it stals again.

Excelsior.

Attitude like yours is why they are force to like us. If instead of whining they don't go back and forth with the community in a thread by someone obviously willing to do, you'd be grateful for the occurence, no matter rare it is, may be more of them would.

Probably aoe reduction, bracing myself for "meteor storm now hits 1 person" and "sand shades now hit 3 people max". If I wanted to play a 1v1 FPS game, there are many out there in the market and they have only gotten better over the years. Oh wait, I already am.

After checking with the Raids and Fractals team - they've got a fix queued up for Xera that will go out tomorrow.

I heard the Keep Construct has some issues as well, something about the ghosts from the statues spawning way more frequently than usual. Can we get our hopes up?

I did keep contruct yesterday and the fight seemed normal...

They just need to make meteor hit in it's area regardless of placement. Cause right now, placed on top of a wall, all the hits stack on top of the wall section cause the game doesn't allow hits where players can not stand. So, the 2/3's of the radius that are over the wall edges, hit on the wall instead, and they really shouldn't. Open field, it's not really an issue as much, although I think they should revert the last changes.

Scourge just needs a redesign, there isn't anything they can do to "fix" it or make it balanced. Which is why blobs field soo many (and firebrands).

Conversely your logic of meteors falling where they can't hit people doesn't make sense to me either. It's already rng that decides whether it hits at all and you are just making a long CD long cast time skill more likely to not hit anyone.

@"apharma.3741" said:How long will we be looking at for balance patches at the moment if an unintended consequence of tomorrows balance patch makes something very unfun to play against where you see it stacked 3-4 on almost every team like condition scourge was at Path of Fire launch or condition mirage now?

That question doesn't have an easy answer.

If something mechanically breaks as a result, we hotfix that as soon as we're able to. That means creating a fix, getting it tested and having a hotfix build prepared for it.If something is unfun/less fun, that's much harder to measure and really subjective. We try to get appropriate changes out as soon as the next standard build.

I obviously don't know how GW2 code is structured since it's a closed source, but one thing you can consider is looking to implement an easy way to quickly disable certain traits while the team works on an actual fix. Something like adding a Boolean operation for WvW and PvP on each one. This way instead of working to "hotfix" you could instead "hotban" a problem trait in a manner of hours.

This might seem extreme, but the reality is most of the game breaking builds often rely on a certain trait that is being exploited in a way the balance team didn't expect. For instance, a huge portion of the nonsense that has been going on in PvP could have been avoided if Sand Savant and Elusive mind ( Two traits that have been identified by much of the community as black-lotus level broken ) were both banned from PvP - instead of allowing them to run rampant and ruin the game mode for months on end.

A buff to Weaver sword would make my heart go pitter patter. I made my first legendary (Bolt) in celebration of finally being able to use a sword on my ele...only to find that it's pretty subpar. It's not in the (staff, it's always a staff) meta, so you're pretty much not allowed to do group content with it. And tell me, in what universe does it make sense for dagger moves to have longer ranges than sword moves? A damage and/or range boost would go a long way, even if you didn't touch any skills.

Yet every other aoe, even those utilities on long cooldowns have to "waste" most of the aoe on the wall sides. Why should this one skill get the same total damage but in a reduced area, just because of wall sides?

The problem with Sand Savant is AMMO. The AOE that size should not be able to be replaced again so quick after casting. That should be the tradeoff for the big one is having to wait to hit it again, while the smalls could be spammed but are easier to avoid.

Elusive Mind is trickier. The entire point of it is to increase the Mesmer's defense as an in your face light armor duelist. Seems the main issue is that it pairs with triggering an Ambush. Maybe if you have elusive mind on, the dodge should not trigger ambushes from mirage cloak (and they could take back the exhaustion they added to it). You could still trigger ambushes from Mirage Mirrors, with might promote using those a bit while still leaving the defense king of Elusive Mind.

@"Irenio CalmonHuang.2048" said:and the deadeye in particular, we’ve been listening to your feedback and are addressing some of the issues raised about each of those.

Please, please, tell us you've put in an F3 skill instead of the stealth requirement! Stealth is such a clunky, finicky thing to bind Malice attacks to.

That's actually a really good idea: Make your "malice consumption" attack be an F skill, instead of forcing you to have a consistent method of applying stealth just so you can get your burst (hello double dagger being the only viable way to play deadeye in raids post-rework).

The idea is just a temporary ban until the programming team can implement an actual change that takes time and thought.

Basically I'm just saying it would be nice to temp-ban extremely broken things instead of letting them dominate for long periods of time.

And the shade has already been nerfed. The CD is so long that the scourge runs out of stuff to do in battle already. If you are going to keep reducing the ammo can you give more damage per hit in return so that we can all be weavers?
