My game was fine for a very long time (years, actually) but ever since the Kourna patches I kept getting crashes constantly. The crashing seems to have resolved itself with this most recent patch, but now almost every other time I start the game, I keep getting prompted to repair the data archive. Make a new shortcut icon for your guildwars2.exe file and see if the repair starts then.
