I stopped playing gw2 only because there is no Season

I don't think Anet loses money from losing pvp only players. It's a healthy break for players sure but what's the point of playing this game if you won't enjoy everything the game has to offer? Maybe try some raiding or fractals. Maybe craft a new legendary. Lots to do. Pvp is great but you're just limiting yourself by not trying other game modes.

As a pvp only player I have 5 legendaries and 170+ mastery rank and I used to spend upwards of 200 dollars on this game per year (until I decided to not spend another penny on the game until ele had a meta damage build) so this is fake news. Seeing as so few of the items in the gem store aren't cosmetic only the connection between PvE and the Gem Store isn't as reliable as you may think. Especially since so many of the players I know with 7+ legendaries that only play PvP are players who bought a lot of gold with gems at one point or another, thus enabling them to be lazy yet fashionable, I'd say they're losing a LOT of money with the loss of their PvPers. We don't play PvE because we can't enjoy the mind-numbingness of it all. We prefer to fight players, not robots. We're maximizing enjoyment from the game, not limiting it.

i agree the offseason is dumb.... if they want to halt leaderboard progression thats fine...

but can you imagine if they said for the next week loot wont drop in pve and wvw so you can test off meta builds lol

is that when I can farm my PIPS for WvW armor?

Oooo can't wait, been working on a spirit ranger build, its completely useless but atleast people can't say I didn't try in game... I just hope this season my useless build doesn't get me into platinum again or high gold with all the super serious people.

They'll be waiting for you to return whenever you decide to, it's pretty much a pro of the game, considering no sub, season starts in 6 days though. However I think you're quite mistaken if you're thinking a few strict Spvp only players leaving is going to have even a minuscule impact on their income, especially if you look at the current population for Spvp.

He's right tho. PvP dedicated players get forced to quit for a month or so between the already non-competitive and continuously worse seasons we get.

Why exactly is that good? To get less players willing to come back every time? Yeah gl with that.If you can't balance / update between every season, just make seasons longer and have less downtime between them. There's no titles or rewards for the end of the season anyways - no reason not to lengthen it.
