WvW no elite specialization weekend event

The last WvW event the no down state event was really fun to play.I was wondering if WvW could have a no elite specialization weekend event where all the elite specialization where disabled.The stats, sigils, runes from HoT and PoF can still be used so that people don't have to swap gear all that much.It would be like WvW pre HoT release.

Yeah I guess. Personally I like the current meta better.

I'm not having any troubles when roaming nor zerging. I jsut have to jump into a different mmo to realise how good the balance in this game is.

Bringing it back now, there would be no balance. Because of historical improvements with some core traitlines and not others, core warriors, core rangers core guardians, and core thieves would be all you encounter.

the only thing you wouldn't see much of would be necros, revs, and engis. altho necros are pretty prevalent and their core condi build is half decent.

Change the way WvW is played in some way. Doesn't have to be a big change, but should be a change.

Using events as test beds for permanent changes can be nice, but isn't necessary. There are many things we probably would be willing to do for the length of a matchup, but wouldn't want it to be forever.

Events shouldn't require large art changes. We want to be able to implement these events quickly and not rely on getting a lot of art that may never be used again.

Events shouldn't exclude large sections of the player base. No restricting events to specific classes, expansions, etc.

Looking forward to hearing more ideas!

I am quite sure the last stated requirement makes this suggestion a no go.
