Underground level in Elon Riverlands?

Apparently, even while finishing PoF for the dozenth time, I seem to be missing something - a secret underground level in the Elon Riverlands map?

For instance, I can see a Rich Mithril Mining Node underneath the quicksand near the Leviathan's Gullet POI, but how to I get there? Is there an entrance or event?

Could also be a node spawning in an unreachable place, they do that sometimes.

I know, but once I detected an entrance that led into the Ascension Chamber's underground cave system, so I am assuming there could be more.

Anyone got any info on this?

Howdy, fella. The place you're looking for is a cave, and its entrance is the large skull of a dead critter located to the left of that POI on the shores of the quicksand. It's heavily guarded by Awakened, so be sure to bring a sturdy stick for whacking purposes.

Thank you so much for your help. <3 Can't believe I missed that the many times I rode by.

Edit: Correction: I must have been there before, a year ago or so, since I already have the teleporter achievement. Eek! Brain not working properly tonight. ;)
