weakening shroud:

lingering curse:0-5 stacks of torment3 corrupted boonsincreased lifeforce gain for scepter 3no LoS needed on scepter 310 sec cd900 range5 Targetsincreased condi dmg statincreased condi Duration for scepter

my first experiences since patch Show me that lingering curse gives you way more. the pressure you can put to your opponents with it is really great.

It's still better for single or low-target PvP scenarios. If I find myself dueling, I want Weakening Shroud over the other two any day. Especially if I'm on core or Reaper.

Hmm- i have to ask; is it better because it causes weakness? Is there a way to have lingering curses and find another skill which causes weakness, such ashttps://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Enfeebling_Bloodorhttps://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Corrosive_Poison_Cloud ?

I hardly pvp/wvw so idk how useful weakening shroud is, esp as i would be using dagger offhand anyway to throw condis back (meaning i'd have the dagger version of the skill, which is still less weakness than the trait).

Mostly. For one, it's nearly guaranteed Weakness with high uptime. Nobody (that's actually going to be hard to beat) is going to stand in a CPC for long, and Enfeebling Blood has a long cast time. However, everyone will get crit throughout a fight. Two, it's a pretty strong effect to be able to drop right on yourself with no warning whatsoever. During most fights, you will find yourself in melee range, at which point it's immediate corruption+weakness+damage (which can proc Doom sigils for core and Reaper).

Lingering Curse doesn't offer much in that scenario because players will cleanse conditions before they usually run their full duration (and a 20-25 second bleed is certianly going to get cleansed), and you only have one target, so changing Feast of Corruption to be AoE does nothing.

Parasitic Contagion doesn't get used because the amount of condition damage you can rack up on only a single target is really rather meh for most of the time. Scourge can get away with it, due to better burst and having 24/7 access to healing, but core stacks condis slowly and Reaper bursts them when it can't get healing due to Shroud.
