Purple and Evil

It's interesting to note how almost every Villain in Guild Wars uses Purple Magic: Mursaat with their Purple Jade Constructs, Shiro Tagachi and his Purple Miasma, Abaddon with his Margonites and Purple corrupted Souls, Kralkatorrik with his Purple Crystals, Zhaitan with the Purple Lighting in Orr, Mordremoth with the Purple Glow on his plants and now we get Balthazar with the Purple flames mingled with the usual orange ones! The writers are really selling the Purple is Evil thing. Their only aversion of this is Mesmers and Lyssa(of course Kormir's making a point of the fact that even Lyssa agreed to stop Balthazar may call the second aversion into question).

Any thoughts on how villains in Lore(aside from Dhuum and Menzies) always have something purple associated with them?

Back in 2010/2011, when the Dragonbrand was first revealed Anet were asked about any relation between Kralk and Abaddon because of the use of purple color. Jeff Grubb's answer was that "purple is the color of evil". So it's nice to see them continuing this trend.

Even Menzies has some purple in relation - Menzies's Agony sword has purple lightning around it.

Just checked and saw that the Dhuum-Touched Crystalline Phial spawns from the Shadow Behemoth which has a Purple aura. It seems all the Evil Factions now have Purple in them.
