What can and cannot crit?

I'm working on a mine based build for my engineer. But I'm wondering, does it crit? Would I be safe in assuming that all damaging abilities in the game crit based off my attributes and buffs, unless they are a special case like engineer turrets?

That also brings up another question: Do necromancer or ranger pets benefit from your stats and buffs?

Theres no hard and fast rule with the Engineer, since many of its skill categories were designed around "standardized" gear, and ignore weapon power. Most skills that do power damage, unless otherwise noted in either tool tips or wiki, do have a chance to crit- but the amount of damage it does is influenced by a large amount of non-obvious factors. Utility skills and sigils/runes usually have their own "weapon power" value, may or may not scale with bonuses, and some even ignore the player's stats (like life steal).

the only real way to find out is to check the wiki and test it against dry runs against golems.
