I love using Sc/T with Staff for Condi Mirage lol. Before they nerfed Mirage and Chaos, Scepter paired with Signet of Illusion is clone spam. Now it's even better with Scepter 2. lol

That looks like fun. What build do you use?

Basically a standard power shatter mirage, only switched for scepter and Mantra of Pain for the fun and giggles.https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Mirage_-_Shatter_Mirage

Quickness through Duelling (on phantasm cast) or Chronomancer (on shatter) might be a nice addition (using Arcane Thievery might be a nasty tell-off on opening from stealth).. Dunno if losing the stun+vulnerability from Domination or the overall utility of the Mirage would be worth it though.

I rely on the quickness on interrupt in domination. you cant open like you do but I think its good for how I play.

editactually you can with pistol offhand.

I also mucked about with this in PvP, though I didn't record. I had a slightly different build setup compared to the video that was posted that makes the burst significantly more potent/reliable, though makes the build as a whole less flexible.

Basically the idea is that you've got danger time to bring you to 100% crit cap vs a target with slow and gives you an extra 10% more damage. Arcane thievery puts slow on the target + quickness on you for a fast channel of confusing images. Daze mantra still gets you the stun for the superiority complex damage amp. Lastly, you can do the whole thing when arcane thievery is on cooldown as long as you interrupt with the daze mantra, as the interrupt will give you quickness and apply slow. Downside, of course, is you don't have mirage things shrug. It's a pretty gimmicky build obviously, but pretty hilarious to 1shot people with.

Edit: Arcane thievery is only a 1/4s channel, so if you kinda interrupt the aftercast by jumping into confusing images, it doesn't really change the whole burst from stealth thing at all.

nice. that's almost exactly what I ended up with lol. I wasn't liking my crit rate then I remembered chrono had that awesome +30% with slow. its pretty fun.

Might as well chime in here; another PvP build.

Last week after I posted my annoyance of confusing images being slower (though we love the other buffs), I set out to put a quickness build together that had decent sustain.

I used phantasmal haste along with chronophantasma to take care of the quickness. Adding phantasmal force, I also get good might generation due to the double warlocks, double avengers, mental defense and disenchanter. Diviner amulet to sustain the quickness/might and other valuable boons (prot/alacrity). Recently updated divinity rune to gain some vitality; 18.3k isn't too bad. Doesn't show that in the editor yet, but is in game.

Casting just about everything with quickness ... really nice - especially the mantra heal and F5 combos - but ultimately what I was after - confusing images.

I've been running around testing out the scepter #3 in a pure zerker power shatter build. I pop torch stealth and then immediately start to channel it. I routinely insta-down or nearly insta-down most roamers. The channel continues to do damage through stealth, and dodges don't cancel it - only make them skip a couple of ticks. If you follow that up fast by swapping to a GS and using #4 or jumping in and shattering, it's almost always an insta-kill.
