As I'm fairly new to WvW zerg on my Herald, I have lots of (well, 3) questions:

  1. What armor stats / runes are you running?
  2. I thought my main contribution to zerg was through Glint, but you seemed to be camping more in Jalis? I'm guessing you run Retribution for Versed in Stone?
  3. What is your build :)

I keep being told that my role in the zerg is DPS, but you seemed to be more support focused? Is that because you're in a guild raid? I don't know if I could pull that off in a pug raid.

different guilds use different builds per class, based on whatever the current meta is etc, i am running support/dps tho i can easily go full dps.For pugging it would be best to go either full zerker or marauder/zerker and pure dps traits until u join a guild, at that point its a guild discussion on what to use/gear etcsince the traits/traitlines should be leaning towards supporting the squad rather then yourself, unless your go full dpsand no im not running retribution, i could but its a more selfish self sustain traitline and versed in stone is usually used for heavy condition pressure and atm condi isnt the meta so its not really needed in zerg play.

Also my stats/runes is a secret :)

Gotcha :)

Yeah, I can't help but see Necro bombs and all of a sudden think "here come the conditions". Power Scourge is more meta these days than Condi, true enough. Cool, well thanks for getting me to look at spending more time in Jalis for Rite spam.

who posts gameplay vids and tells someone asking for help that they cant say as their build is a secret?

@Turkeyspit.3965he is running with ~4k-6k vita depending on before or after update. Nothing secret tbh.

MaraudersBerserkerValkyrieBerserker/ValkyrieIts possible he playing with toughness gear cause I head lolcavalier is a good power stat. I'd rather soldiers to keep power high though.

For the runes its something with +% damage on them. If hes not running with that then his "secret" hammer build isn't worth knowing.

ok @Justine.6351 thats uncalled for, notice the smiley at the end? it means i am trying to be funny.

I run with a guild and as i stated different guilds use different builds and use each class for different roles, im not going to give a new player my build that i use for my guild because it would not benefit them since they are not in my guild and running my build outside of coordinated squad play is a good way to get yourself downed without having basic wvw skills and experience under your belt first. As @Turkeyspit.3965 stated, is new to wvw.. Look at any of my videos, i am for the most part pushing with a tag all up in enemy zergs faces, i would feel like trash if a gave someone new to wvw my build and said go get em champ only to watch them one push every time. i say let him/her learn the nitty gritty first, builds do not make a u a good player experience does.

turkeyspit, the one who asked me has shown zero issue with my answer.

4k-6k vit? pls im barely pushing 1.4k

what part of support/dps didnt your read? i do not need %damage runes since i am not running full dps and i have a specific role in my guild raids, and even then i pull high dps.

@Turkeyspit.3965 thank you for being constructive

I don't want to fan any drama flames, but I'm good with the answers given. I get it, WvW is a competitive game mode and guilds would want, and should, protect whatever strategies they develop for any edge possible. I mean it's not an accident that his video has a logo that blocks both the chat window and the squad window.

I still learned stuff from the OPs video, much of which I can't use because I'm not in a WvW guild and as a casual WvW player, I'm usually following a pugmander where the lack of pre-planning and coordination would make a non-meta build problematic. But it certainly opened my eyes to Rev being more flexible than I thought in a zerg role.

All good here :)

Dammnn how many fb's are u guys runing???

That kinda felt more than 1 per party and scourges as well :\

Btw i run a similiar jalis build to yours :) due numbers damage/crit change and the herald heal values (i got 100% crit chance and 207% crit damage), duno why jalis never had much atention.. it was always so good...It kinda felt this way:JalisInvocation (to incraese the crit chance)Herald

I see u are proabbly runing the trait to increase herald utilties damage?

for the most part no, i only run the dps icnrease if absolutely needed, giving 10 people buffs is better for what i do. but ill run the dps increase if puggingi cant remember how many fbs we had that night but it was probably just 1 per party

wrong, my vitality without any buffs is 1.3k without buff im 21khp22k is from buffscliam and or borderlands buff

So pls

5:30 in your vid. 22k hp no claim buff...Next clip it shows you at 24k with keep buff...Base rev hp is 15,922.

Now herald traitline has a minor trait of 10% max hp.Draconic Fortitute.

Yes...Which wouldn't explain 6k hp lol.

As much as I like to watch and laugh as Justine stirs shit up, I figured I'd go test this myself because I'm just that bored right now.

Counting the 30 points from minor bloodlust, my Herald is sitting at 1422 vitality and has 22.1k hp. Keep and claim buffs push that up to 1622 vitality and 24.3k hp.
