If only 1 class ES in the next Xpac can get Hammer which you choose?

Necro Dagger is anything but slow. I think Weapon depends on the ES design. No class is only slow.

After thinking about it I was remembering the class description of the Reaper which is described by the Devs as “slow and hard hitting.”

I'd really like to see a true condi hammer class. Berserker and Warrior hammer isn't exactly focused on condi damage, more about interrupts and power damage. Guardian is mostly direct power damage and some utility. Revenant is ranged power damage. Scrapper is mostly direct power damage and a little utility. I have yet to see a condition-focused hammer class, so I think it'd fit Mesmer pretty well. I'd still rather have duel swords for Necro though.

Personally I'd rather they step away from linking weapons to elite specializations. If I had my wish they'd rework the entire system with weapons and skills but that's probably asking too much.

The thing is that I do not like Hammers in general. So whoever gets a Hammer Specialization is a loss to me for that class. So I voted Elementalist because I don't play that class much and that's the only reason why.

All in all, I don't like the majority of elite specializations. Some of them may be powerful but I really just don't like how they work and so it feels like you're forced to play a class a certain way. It's also a big part of the reason why I stay away from structured group content in this game because it limits your choices too much of what you can play.

It also means that most elite specializations aren't worth it to me and I only unlock them for the ascended weapon you can earn with it.

At least one Elite Spec is already like a GW dual spec -- Druid is like a R/M.

Oooh, that gives me an idea.

Mesmer e-spec: Master of Ceremonies. Punishment spec.Weapon: Hammer.Armor: Parachute Pants.Utilities: Shouts. E.g., "Please Mesmer, Don't Hurt Em", "You Can't Touch This"Mechanic: Replaces Shatters with Dances, like attunements that command all clones to auto-shatter with a certain effect when they're attacked (and triggers a temporary stance-like bonus on swap).

Ranger! I'm still holding out hope for the next expansion to be in Cantha, with Warden as Ranger's elite specialisation - hammer as weapon of choice, reminiscent of the wardens of Echovald Forest. If said hammer doesn't have a knockdown skill, bunny thumpers the world over will be very cross... :3

Well Necro hasn't gotten a main hand weapon yet, they got a two handed and off hand.

I picked Elementalist because they haven't gotten a two handed weapon yet and it could be used in some interesting ways.

of elem wouldent shortbow be more fiting since its a 2h that they havent got as summon already.
