Klipso.8653
When the future of the game is described as episodic living world. Does that imply that we will only have LS releases until the servers close? Or was this an unintentional description where a 3rd ex pack is still on the horizon? All they've done is rename the 8-10 episodes of LS4, so that half are LS4 and the other half are LS5. There doesn't appear to be much difference in the story planned, just in the labeling for release. The game has been episodic living world for its entire existence; the jargon used to describe it has varied. The changes have included: changing to a more systematic & patient release process, including expansions to bring a host of features (as well as a set of episodes), and nearly-predictable schedule of releases of features, instanced content, stories, and festivals. derd.6413
no, they didn't stop xpacs. gw2's story is episodic with xpacs being really big episodes.also there would inevitibly be diffrences between pre-pof and post-pof seasons because of the post hot contentdraught. Talk about just coming up with things from thin air...Idk, they haven't mentioned changing anything so it is safe to assume nothing will be different. They most likely just wanted to separate the story at that point, meaning the last episode with the last legendary release will also have a story that is more fitting of an ending. Potentially avoiding a case like with Siren's Landing, where the story should have ended an episode earlier and it felt awkward to push it in there
