Title.

Sepereate the PvE and PvP by creating a new client for PvP modes. This way the PvP can be more balanced and also new types of PvP content can be built. While the PvE client can have better and more balanced content as well.

That wouldn't work unless you are also allowed to be logged in multiple times on the same account.

Yes a different game. And? people that want a real pvp game will pay for it. Most people will not buy GW2 for pvp, because it has too much pve and is a mmorpg that has nothing to do with e-sport.

people that want real pvp already play it in different games

So you think that if ANet splits PvP into its own client it will become great and well balanced?

Actually with the time to queue and especially the wait for automated tourneys it's a blessing you can be in pve area and you know...get some shit done, while waiting for your match finally to pop up. It's not perfect (world boss interrupted halfway through if you're not careful when to queue for pvp) but better then just sitting in a lobby twiddling your thumbs.

So I'm not following how ANY of this has any advantage over the existing setup, other then maybe going straight to a PvP lobby on login. Need some specific examples here.....

Cutting out the PvP portion of an MMO and putting it in a separate client does not make it a real pvp game nor a game that esports competitors would want to touch. Not even if GW2 was less than 6 years old.

You're looking at it backwards. Splitting PvP into a separate client wouldn't suddenly mean Anet have more resources to devote to it or different people will be balancing it so it's done in the way you would prefer. It would just mean it takes longer for any updates to happen because they have to do each one twice (including testing it with the two different clients and fixing bugs which appear as a result of one having different stuff in it and so working differently.

But the new resources have to come first. If Anet had more resources to make a separate game, and if they thought a pure PvP game was the best way to use them then they could develop one, but splitting the existing PvP mode into a new client isn't going to mean they have more time or money to devote to it, it just makes it harder to update.
