Evil.1580 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Since there are a lot of discussions on this topic, I will tell you what will really happen:The energies of the dragons are in continuous push-and-pull motion, perfectly balancing themselves to each other and the world. It is said by the Apostate that, "should the energies become imbalanced, the world will tilt and all beings will fall off it into the void". We will discover that Aurene can help Tyria recover even after we slay another dragon. Slowly all commanders and their moms will see that Aurene is the "tool" which will allow us to kill all the dragons. But this act has its price - with every killed dragon Aurene becomes more and more unstable. Parts of the other killed dragons, including their thoughts and ideology, live inside of her. Until now the whole universe of Aurene was the commander, like a loyal dogo, and they both were fighting for the same cause, but now her mind is more objective as she sees through the eyes of her old enemies. Commander and friends efforts to seize Aurene's desire for destruction become harder and harder and it is clear for everyone, including the future antagonists, which desire only chaos, and they will try to use this weakness to achieve their goal.:)
Dawdler.8521 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Aurene will no doubt turn evil, but thats ok because the commander will turn evil with her and finally make the Inquest rulers of everything. Annihilate the bookah, shave the Charr, make salad of the Sylvari and stuff the Norn in a cave or something they seem to like caves. And if she dont... Not to worry. Steam Aurene is the backup plan. Thats why we saved Scarlets brain after all.
derd.6413 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 that'd get reall repetitive real fast unless we kill all EDs in one episode in which case: no
perilisk.1874 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 No, what will really happen is, in slaying Kraalkatorik and the DSD, notwithstanding Aurene, we damage the fabric of reality. As energy streams in from the Mists, Primordus and Jormag absorb it in their sleep, becoming far more powerful, while breaches erupt over space and time. The Commander, Blish, and Taimi have to pick up a new crewe from different eras of Tyria. Together with Princess Salma, an Itzel warrior, and a prehistoric proto-Norn, they will travel to an ancient ice age frozen by Jormag, and an apocalyptic future ruined by the awakening of Primordus. Or something along those lines.
Evil.1580 Posted September 19, 2018 Author Posted September 19, 2018 you can see that i am 100% right for now :)
Blocki.4931 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 We will most likely kill Kralkatorrik inside the mists, meaning the other elder dragons won't get the magic that allows them to freely traverse between Tyria and the mists. Otherwise we have a whole 'nother problem in other EDs adopting that abilityI don't believe Aurene will turn evil. She is too connected to the player character, though she is still a dragon and in her adolescent state quite unpredictable. She is scared, but would never do us any harm. She might try something along the lines of a rebellious teenager, which is the vibe I was getting from her refusing to budge at the summit. So where does the notion that "magic changes personality" come from? Because she was supposedly more aggressive after absorbing parts of Balthazar? Because we have 0 proof or evidence of that. She shows dragon behaviour. Every time I read this "Aurene turns evil" thought it is always connected to her absorbing magic and suddenly changing who she is or how she thinks. That's like believing that the Elder Dragons are controlled by the magic within them. Nonsense.
Taygus.4571 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 I'm already tired of the killing elder dragons theme. I hope they figure another solution for kralketoric.
