Wyrd.1432
I've trouble with reds and greens that also makes differentiating certain colors and subsequently dying my characters' equipment interesting, so I would appreciate some help.1) What in-game dye by name would be best for matching up the new dragon crown's horns with crystalline wings?2) What dye would match the, I'm assuming, jade coloring of the fire-breathing longbow? I'd like to dye some armor to match as closely as possible. Thanks in advance.
alchemist.6851
I will check those out to see what they look like.In my opinion, I think you see your character 99% of the time so it’s better that you choose colors that please your eyes and anyone else. In fact I am personally quite open to fashion attempts and fails.Having said that if you have a theme or culture which you want to follow, I’ll be happy to help.. Fashion Wars is about showing off your character's fashion choices, it is very subjective indeed but you should aim for something that actually looks good in general standars. I mean i've seen characters with a flamboyant choice of style and even if that person likes that style that annoys the heck out of me and I bet its the same for most of the playerbase. But sure the most important thing is that you can pick whatever style you want, but there is nothing more satisfying that being complemented from a random player lolIm sorry for saying all that, its jut my opinion and all of you can disregard it, its the way I see fashion wars and I just wanted to express it with the quoted author. I'd try Glint's Crystal, Purple Ice, Frostbite Blue, Pastel Blue, Frost Breeze, Pastel Purple, or Wine Ice.2) What dye would match the, I'm assuming, jade coloring of the fire-breathing longbow? I'd like to dye some armor to match as closely as possible. The Fire-breathing Longbow is kind of a rust (red) color. (There are both red and green jades.) Most of the Orange set will match, as will most of the darker ones in Yellow, and any of Brown will also work in combination. For specific close-matching dyes, Bloom, Sunset, Autumn, Clove, Amber, Caramel, Honey, Honeybutter, Sunfire Lava, and Pumpkin Orange might be good choices, depending on which armor/outfit skins you're using. If you try some of those and post images, we can try to help you adjust your dyes from there to help you get a look you're happy with. Wyrd.1432
Thank you everyone for your replies. I have a hard time sometimes telling blues and purples apart. And when it comes to certain greens and reds, forget about it. That's why I tend to stick with blues, yellows, grays, and blacks when dyeing, dipping occasionally into greens and reds only if they are clearly labelled as such. Part of appearance is what is pleasing to others so I try to be conscientious of my visual limitations.
