This would be similar to how guild halls can upgrade their nodes in the hall:either give more gathers, and/or narrows the selection of results to more valuable materials as objectives upgrade.For example Paper objectives give the standard 3 random materials for lumber/ore nodes. T1 objective gives 4 total materials. T2 gives 6 materials, T3 gives 9 materials. For leather/herb synthesizers i guess could be 1-2-3-6 gathers? And I have no idea which plants/berries are considered valuable or not...OR you could narrow selection so when it upgrades to T1 the nodes will no longer give T1 materials (jute, copper, greenwood etc.), once it upgrades T2 it will exclude T2 mats etc. (I think there would have to be an exception to cloth materials, since gossamer is dirt cheap compared to the other t6 materials.) https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crafting_materialOr do a combination of both. DemonSeed.3528 Posted October 25, 2018 Share Posted October 25, 2018 I don't mind if they refresh more often or give more drops, but I think this is to provide consistency globally throughout the game. That said it doesn't always have to be that way, and it's not like gathering nodes in wvw is going to beat the mat industry in any shape, way or form. Change it enough, and people will stay I suppose. I give a thumbs up since this is a different suggestion than normal. I would just maybe make the changes/drops not too crazy. So keep the randomness of the mats as it is currently, but increase the number of times it can be gathers by the tier.
