Condi Banner vs Power Banner

Hi there,

So I just started playing GW2 again and I did some research for a warrior build, what I found was a Power Axe/Axe banner build and a Zerker Condi Banner build. Since I cannot collect both sets anytime soon I was wondering which of the 2 I should choose. Is it still true that the condi build is good for raids and power build for fractals?

Just having a difficulty choosing which one I should collect a set for first for a beginner warrior (if that matters)?

I think condi is more used in raids but it's actually depends on the boss.

In Fractals, you can take any build as long as it works and you know how to play it.

So choose what you prefer to play.

depends on the encounter. Certain bosses in raids favour power dps over condi, and others condi over power. Fractals generally favor power for trash but certain bosses are hard to stick to if you're new, so putting condis on them then backing off into lb will be a better option. Either way, as long as you're putting down the banners, you'll be taken. If you really can't decide, toss a coin for it. Once you get started ascended gear will just fall on you and you can get the other set in a few weeks (or months if rng hates you XD).

your first set should be power warrior/spellbreaker.
and then later condi. because essentially viper gear is much harder to get.
as a banner warrior you should be ready to swap to all 3 types. boon strip,core and condi.

In fractals, power is always better. In raids, most of the time condi is better but on some bosses power is much better.
