zoopop.5630
and unrank being pure aids/boring, has their been a complete reason why we haven't gotten 2vs2, or lower hourly rate for AT's ? Only fun thing to do last two weeks has been to watch in-house games, and play some of the in-houses. Anet needs to offer something else during off season to give players a reason to really still play beside "daily" missions or whatever it is. Can we get some event, or special game mode during off season like death-battles, 15vs15, or some sort of 1vs1 King Of The Hill stuff. Post isn't directed to be negative but we need to have something else to do beside wait a month or longer for another season.
Crab Fear.1624
Something like this:"Heroes' Ascent, also known as HA, is a continuous global tournament between teams of 8 players from all over the world. Teams compete in several arenas in sequence before finally meeting in the Hall of Heroes, where they may win valuable loot. Every victory in the Heroes' Ascent (except the Elite Zaishen Battle) awards fame to the victorious team, which progresses their Hero title track." SteepledHat.1345
That's a good rough idea. I think it's a nice place to start some refinement.

Guilds and Guild Halls have way more importance in GW1 than GW2.Its weird how the only improvement they did to the multi-player aspect of GW2 was the open world. Pretty much every other aspect of the multi-player got worse in the second game. And honestly it's baffling to me.Up until PoF there was always some hope they'd improve those systems, like HoT saw the guild halls and revamped guild systems. But it actually became worse, with Guild hall functions being locked behind HoT, instead of open at least for all expansion purchases. This with an actual new guild hall being released with PoF.I gave up on sPvP a year ago, pretty much. It's plain for anyone to see that it's not improving, the balance won't improve, and everything else isn't being touched. One year later there was barely any changes to what was already a struggling game mode when PoF released. A game can't wait a year to do crucially needed changes to a game mode and hope to be successful, especially since those changes should have happened at least another year earlier. Personally, that's too long to wait if no actual pvp mode changes are happening.
Ziggityzog.7389
If pvp ranked was worth playing then it would get popular again. But with wintrade wars going on / pve reward hunt season in ranked play. It's not really worth clicking over to play.Unranked is the best spot since season 6 sadly.Gw2 will never be even half as good as gw1 with Hall of heroes and the other pvp modes.Looks like we can only hope guild wars 3 has some actually competitive pvp. BeLZedaR.4790
I agree.. something needs to happen for offseason.Something like no-downstate weekend for wvw could work.Or anything to freshen things up really. Even a temporary balance patch that makes some ridiculous changes, like buffing unused weapons by 200% and then reverted.
