S/D Thief Armor Stats Help WvW

So I've seen builds like https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Thief_-_Power_S/D_Roamer that go full Marauders and some that even go almost full Marauders except trinkets which are all Berserk er, even watched videos where Thieves would run variants of Valkyrie and Valk/Berserk mix match. My question is exactly what kind of stats i should aim for? All Marauders? Mix-match? Is there a certain threshold I'm trying to reach?

I'd recommend swapping your old valk+zerk combo trinkets for Marauder. You can mix and match elsewhere to get the values you want, but you're losing out on 98 stats just by having the old 4-stat trinkets. :p

Trinket Zerk/Valk = 258 StatsTrinket Marauder = 282 Stats

Amulet Zerk/Valk = 373 StatsAmulet Marauder = 408 Stats

Backpack Zerk/Valk = 143 StatsBackpack Marauder = 158 Stats

Edited to include all zerk/valk vs Marauder in the referenced build

I lose dmg and crit for the small preacison and health gain, not really worth it.

Would you mind explaining your choices for what you run? I've never seen people use those runes either.> @"Fat Disgrace.4275" said:

mix n match.

I run this

36% boon duration and since s/d steals a lot it kinda works.

How feel the rune pop rate (25%) ? Never seen those runes before and you don't get hit that much

It's pretty good vs one shot builds like mesmer that rely on multiple hits etc, the main thing is the boon duration since you will have a lot of boonsteal with S/x trickery and acro. I run mara with dura runes and cavalier rings on deadeye, severance sigil and the might makes up for the power loss since you have close to 100% crit chance. If I play daredevil or core I swap the rings to valk, generally just taking more offensive traitlines gives the damage I need then. S/D is more of a bruiser style, so it benifits from better defensive stats more than dagger does.

So you want to mix-match to try to reach near 100% crit chance? I've seen some stop @ 50% crit but all their autos seem to always crit. So with 50% + (20% Fury)= 70% crit is good or should I aim for the 100 or near?

Remember you get 20% from fury pretty consistently through thrill of the crime, kneeling gives another 20% with silent scope too. Full marauder gives 60% crit chance base, so it's pretty easy to get to 100% with rifle. I usually have 50% base crit chance as I take cavalier rings to get full benefit from the toughness from dura runes, and since I have an extra 10%ish from be quick or be killed and another 10% from severance sigil on S/P I'm usually on around 90% after an interrupt with quickness on sword and 100% on rifle.
