HiImFromNA.3046
Let's give kills a counter for other players to see similar to Killstreak EXP buff. Since a lot of roamers get lil reward except palling around and stroking their egos -- kill count without being downed would be good. Here's the better part of the idea: the higher the count the more Magic Find % for the person who kills him/her/xer. Like if im owning really hard and have say something typical like 30 kills in a row without going down that would be 30x15% magic find = extra 450% magic find! Would be sick. The server kill/death ratio is already popular. This would make the game more enjoyable for "competitive" wvwers more-so. Like, who can get the highest streak? Great motivation factor. steki.1478
So basically make 50 man blobs all day and farm each other.Getting 30 kills in a blob/on AC isnt anything impressive nor hard to do.
Blocki.4931
Yeah that's a little over the top.I like the idea, but in the end it's just going to encourage that the best players stack somewhere together and enjoy that they can just roll over every enemy again and again, something that is already a problem and should be avoided at any cost. Lets zergers know how well they're doing. Managing to wipe an organized zerg w/ lots of kills with your pugs gives extra reward.
Shining One.1635
I dislike the idea. It incentivizes running from fights and that's already a big enough problem as it is.
HiImFromNA.3046
... okay clarification. The killstreak acts as a bounty. The higher your score the more Magic Find % the person who kills you ending your streak gets. There is no personal reward for the streak except ego stroking. As the score goes up for kills and not deaths am not sure why that would cause more passive gameplay. Would imagine such to actually incentivize fighting.
DaFishBob.6518
Imagines if a roamer somehow gets used like a death leveled monster from GW1...

Mathematically would only be 15% more efficient spawn farming a friend. Spawn farming a bunch of friends would yield a lot of loot (this would only be 15% more if done right) in any case which also may get one banned if am not mistaken. Would imagine such to actually incentivize fighting.if its mainly for roamers, you should make it count only stomps not 'participating in a kill' because that would make zerglings a target not roamers and it would not boost anyones ego. you already get enough loot as is in zergs, if only other roamers/gankers have a high score then you make them a target for other roamers. or people picking a tail might be actually worth chasing with your zerg if they do it too long, just for the rewards.rewards are mainly a tool to shape player behaviour without forcing them, so when putting them into the game one should think before what kind of behaviour you want to achive. this is a casual game so making the better roamers and gankers a more obvious target would be good both as a warning and to make them fight each other more instead of the poor zergling. as bonus ofc as you say that number boosts the ego.and if you add a bit more extra dev effort into it you could make a bounty board into the WvW menu or the map, that shows you the opposing players with the highest counter (maybe top 5/10 per opposing server, only ones oline and on your map) and their 'last seen position' (where they did their last stomp, not actually where they have been seen).
