How to get Dhuum kill?

So I've hit a point in Dhuum where I experienced most of his mechanics except for the last 10% phase thanks to a couple of training runs. I feel confident that I can pull my weight in a PUG Dhuum run. Yet, PUGs always ask for KP (not that I blame them really, this is Dhuum). I don't have a guild or static to run with, so what are my options?

Before I had enough KP to basically pass through any group, I messaged the commanders before joining, asking them if they could let me join on a mistake=kick policy, then did my best to stay alive and do my job. Also I always volunteer to do greens so you're more or less high in demand if you do that, no matter your KPs.

This is valid for most content actually, a lot of people are more than willing to let you join with a mistake=kick policy and in my experience most of those will even actually tolerate a couple unlucky pulls on your part, as long as you're not doing something obviously and clearly inexperienced.

Thank goodness that I did practice greens on my own time and a little bit during the actual battle. I suppose I can volunteer for greens then despite no KP.

What maxwelgm said, but please make sure you actually are ready. Dont be like the ele I saw the other week who convinced everyone he knew what to do, and then died on very first soul split because he didnt know the timer.

If you know the timing of greens and soul splits without a reminder and can do all the basic mechanics /greens without every dying or going down then yeah you are ready. If you are still using guides for green times ect, you need more practice.

That's bs. 2nd monitor and a pic (in my case) or a little paper sheet in front of you for green time stamps is enough. People have better things to do than learning random numbers in a video game and it works fine. Soul split times and the actual ability to do greens are important, nothing less. I even know raid sellers that use those sheets on their monitor(s).

I just use the debuff you get after completing them and the person who jumps before me as an orientation. The debuff expires at least 15 seconds before your green comes up.

I agree I couldn't for the live of me tell the times for greens but can do 1 and 3 without problem. I'm basing myself on the attacks instead of the de buff tho

i don't think so. Altough i do get annoyed when people say that they will do cannons at sab to suddenly say they can't cause TACO doesn't work.

I don't think so. My way of doing greens is looking at the debuff you get from doing greens to see how much time it has left. When it is almost out, that's when I know that my green is coming up.

Tag up and lead it yourself. As the leader you will need to assign every job. Couple tips you need to know as a pugcommander for dhuum:

1.) Before the fight, make everyone stand on their marker for last 10%, that way you can see that all of the symbols have a person assigned2.) In a pug group, your probably best off bringing 2 druids, and sending druids + off chrono to greens. Someone has to strip his boons after soul suck. I recommend a necro kiter with corrupt well. A spellbreaker with winds of disenchantment works well too, but I think if alacrity drops you can run into problems with its cooldown.

3.) At 10%, put a ready check up, when each person gets down they should hit ready.4.) Before you run out to channel at the symbols, a chrono should put down timewarp. This should be assigned before you start the fight. You WANT quickness for interacting with the seals. Trust me, I cost my group its first dhuum cm kill because I didn't know this. On regular mode, it is not as important, but it decreases the odds of someone going down, because it lets you channel the pillar faster.

5.) At 15% the druid with stone spirit should kill their stone spirit, when they get back down from 10%, put down stone spirit. When your 7 players run out to the pillars, you want protection to reduce the damage when your outside the protective bubble.

Or you can take some renegades as dps as they also have good boons trip.

Thats true, but generally while pugging I find that generic dps players are your least reliable players in my experience, while the chronos/druids/kiters are players who are more experienced and purposefully take the mechanics jobs to try to guarantee themselves a kill.

Fair point. Although if you're whole dps squad is renegades their should atleast be one good one. :)
