Antitoxin Runes

Does anyone know if the 6th bonus would work on Allies?

If I cleanse an Allies condition, will the 6th proc remove another condition? Doesn't look like there's an ICD either... If not all good, will work on myself for another build but I was thinking along the lines of Fire/Water aura share with condition clears on Aura's, if it removes 2 per Aura, that would be greeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaat.

Stuck at work if anyone can answer?

Anititoxin Runes:(1): +25 Condition Damage(2): -5% condition duration applied to you.(3): +50 Condition Damage(4): -10% condition duration applied to you.(5): +100 Condition Damage(6): -10% condition duration applied to you. When you remove one or more conditions, remove an additional condition.

(I like to build craft or theory craft in the down time of work)

@JusticeRetroHunter.7684 said:What I want to know is if it cleanses per condition, or just on cleansing conditions per skille use.

So for example if I have Sigil of cleansing with anti toxin runes, will it cleanse 6 (3+3) conditions or just 4 (3+1)

From the wording I would think the latter, one or more conditions, indicates it might work as a single condition clear triggered by any condition cleanse whether it be 1 or a million conditions cleansed.

From my testing on mesmer in wvw it seems to be +1 to every condi clear. Ie Jaunt clears 2 condis, Prestige clears 2 condis etc. Edit - I don't know if it works on allies, only tested solo.

I think it's a ridiculously overpowered rune in the right build, nevermind the passive -25% condi duration. I mean you can make an Inspiration mirage or chrono right now that can face tank any condi and laugh it off. Nevermind the stupid cleansing sigil buff to 3. Or go overkill with Elusive Mind. And for inspiration chrono with time marches on and suitable food just ignore cripple/chill/immob while cleansing through everything else

Quite ironic that it is a rune that gives condi damage for use in condi builds when it's designed to totally hardcounter condi builds.

I use this rune on my necro for a long time in wvw. Still use it now and have no desire to switch to anything else. Don't think it works on allies. I haven't gone to wvw lately to test out. From what i understand from the description, it's a +1 clean condi. If you get 2 condis off of you by transfer or remove, 1 more condi should be removed as the 6th bonus.

I suspect anet is trying to add some OP defensive runes to the game to combat the offense creep in WvW.

In sPvP, they can just disable all the sigils and such that grant too much free condi application and stack for way too much damage, but in WvW they can't really ban anything since it's supposed to be the "Open world PvP" of GW2 hence allows for PvE gear. So nerfing by adding serious counterplay is their only option.

I spent half my day theory crafting at work to read this... thanks though lol

It's really freaking good looking. Double condition cleanses. That's actually kind of nuts.

I thought it was going to work great as sage support with fire and water build, well atleast that was going to be the first ammy to try

I guess that's kind of it's niche, to use in builds where they might have relatively low cool down single cleanses which can turn into a really powerful cleansing action. I can see it being good on rev or mesmer but then you'd just run cleansing half the time.

Might be good on some out of meta builds that otherwise would like the cleansing, might even be good on ele.

So here’s something I plan to try out on Reaper

Currently I’m experimenting with aboon-manceing reaper which uses death magic. Shrouded removal removes a condition upon shroud entry, and then every 3 seconds an additional condition.

So, in theory, while in shroud I can remove 2 condi’s every 3 seconds, and upon shroud entry, remove 2 conditions

Now turn it up a notch with Rune of cleansing, and speed of shadows, and I’ll be able to remove up to 8 conditions, 5 of which will always be a damaging condition, upon entering shroud...then every 3 seconds two additional conditions, and upon exiting shroud, 4 more conditions removed (If in shroud longer than 9 seconds)

To me, this could make reaper actually sustain in a Condi fight without investing heavily into too many defensive traitlines.

Edit: ohh and I also want to see how it works with necromantic corruption...will each minion take 2 conditions from you? Curious

I was going over so many builds too before I found out the runes weren't in PvP...

I can imagine it could be pretty big on ele though I've got no idea first hand, if it wasn't for that other build Cellofrag posted which I imagine also applies in wvw.

Yeah it will help some niche builds for cleanse and will be interesting to see what it gets used in, though the interactions with a number of things on mesmer are very strong - actually I've decided not to use it because it's complete overkill on cleanse and I'd rather have something else. Whatever the case it seems that we're getting further powercrept cleanse to meet the powercrept condi application.

I can see it being useful on an IH mesmer build that only really has jaunt for cleanses, power or condi but the runes favour condi.

Ele, see this is the gripe, weaver is almost completely immune to condi if it goes water and woven stride whatever the build, if you don't take woven stride or water (realistically you would drop both) your cleanses already kind of suck for a weaver build so you'd double down on the defences you do have, barrier, dodges, counter pressure, zephyrite runes (really look it up).

The place I think it would be best is on a core ele where you can take cleansing water and cleanse 2 by going into water and 2 on dodge every 8-9s with another 1 cleansed with stop drop and roll after you remove chill/burn. Whether you run D/D or S/F is up to you but it'll vastly improve the weakness of both of them though good S/F players kite like mad already so would likely not choose them.

Either way this is a rune I will keep in my mind for any class with 1-2 single spammable cleanses.

I was thinking fire water temp... fire has a trait that cleanses condi on aura application then combine that with water aura share... fire also has passive fire auras which is passive condi removals and heals.
