Barrier Question

Hey :) Am I right in thinking barrier decreases incoming damage by 50%? I have that in my head for some reason but not sure how true it is, you guys actually have barrier so it figures to ask you.

If so, sanctuary runes could be pretty nice on you. A cele/zealot build with sanctuary runes ought to be able to get a fair amount of barrier, no?

Nope, you're wrong. Barrier is just temporary extra hp.

Some players used to think one can not be critted while barrier is up, but that has been proven wrong.

It's only temporary life.

Elemental refresment (weaver minor trait) : Gain barrier when using Dual Attack abilities : 434This trait is a joke.
I'm okai with barrier mechanic, and put them to weaver, but it's insufficient : once again we need healing power (for a "dps" spec, it's stupid) base barrier are too low and there is nothing more than the barrier itself.
Look at Scrapper : better base, applies to allies, barriers+15% stronger, reduces condition dmg.Scourge : better base, applies to allies, gives might and cleanses 1 condition.Now look back to weaver : .... ????????????

It can give arround 1-2k barrier sometimes, but it won't save you

For what ever reason weaver THE self barrier class gets less from barrier then scroge's aoe barriers and scraper's passive barrier. Dont think too much about making it a thing for weaver your only going to waist a lot of time.

Well, scourges abrasive grit has been nerfed, but it is still better than ele barrier traits. I really wonder how it could have ever been OP (said the devs) with all the powercreep since Pof. Also unkillable ele means ignorable ele.
