Am I the only one

Who wants their to be actual punishes for players who don't set the right utilities, or for players who get engaged on properly?

Why is it that I have to be SCARED of stunning a Necro, Mesmer, or Dragonhunter?Why is it that I have to either time my attrition around your inaction rather than action, or my burst around your passives?

I get that damage is too high, and I'd be fine with a 10-15% damage nerf across the board (for pvp only? All you do is change the value on the amulets here so it should be easy), but I want my actions to matter. I hate stunning a Mesmer and getting counter stunned followed by dying before me being stunned for engaging them ends. Why is that a thing. Why does Unholy Sanctuary exist? Defy Pain? Shrug it off? Instant Reflexes? While not all of these are good, they are what I think are AWFUL design for pvp. There should not be a case where I, as the engaging party, execute my combo correctly and am consequently punished.

I think traits like Thrill of the Crime->Bountiful Theft->Sleight of Hand are great because they synergize so well with something specific, and Fierce Infusion->Ferocious Aggression->incensed Response->Roiling Mists. Traits like Juggernaut are great because they do something that I, as the player, can identify and interact with visually. Self-Regulating Defenses is NOT good because I have to remember first off what the internal cooldown for that is, then when it went off- OR if they slotted Elixir S, what the cooldown is for that, and when that might have gone off.

Shoot I'd be fine with these if they just showed up on the players bar of buffs (like banners) saying "Has not popped" or something so I know "Hey if I stab them with my Basilisk Venom or Earthshaker, I'll get counter stunned by that Mesmer because Mirror of Anguish says its up".

Am I the only one?

Unholy SanctuaryLoLLMAOno one play that and even if anyone did that mean he have death magic and that is just bad and why you are SCARED of stunning a Necro do stun him please its the best way to deal with necrosbut i some how understand/agree to some level with the rest (specially the passive one wither they are defensive or offensive passive i dont like them at all in SPvP)

I meant to point out how passives that save bad players are bad, not necessarily the power level of those passives. My bad. It was a bit ranty, sorry. =/ Managed to convince myself to log off quickly because I was tilted from a Holosmith match where no matter how I engaged on him, his 6 seconds of heck off managed to make me lose =/.

Mesmer turns around and does the greatsword combo. I am not skilled enough to play Power Mesmer builds and totally respect their ability to combo properly by the way. Before someone thinks I'm spiteful.

I think the combo is something like Greatsword 2, Blink, Greatsword 3, the utility that summons 2 clones, power shatter, and power mantra utility. I think. This applies to a good portion of amulets, not just zerk marauder and viper. But it has happened frequently enough with me actually spamming dodge skills that I never get to use =/

I'm so completely sick of idiots pressing 2 buttons, getting infinite stability and just walking through ward walls with their smooth brain in order to continue their PvE-tier rotations. That said, the idea of there being "right/correct" utilities is a sign of a game devolving into the rock-paper-scissors tier along with memes like Overwatch or LoL. I mean, GW2 has been there for ages now, but it's just getting more and more obvious as time goes on.

Ahh ok..I need you to make a mesmer, and learn the combo. Then execute it on a player.Reason I ask this is because the scenario with powermesmer only makes sense if they are actively about to engage you, are a base mesmer running full offensive utilities AND chaos tree, and are in the process of using blink while you are simultaneously using your stun.The scenario would go like -Mesmer: turns to you-You: use a stunMesmer: uses blink as the stun lands and precast gs2You: stunned from chaos traitlineMesmer: cast stun mantra ( which probably didnt happen as you were stunned already), power spike mantra and shatter, gs3.And all of that would have to crit.Reason I say it's a base mesmer:-Most power builds ( before the nerfs) used duel/illu or duel/dom for the damage buff (some base mesmer builds used all 3 for extra tom foolery)Chaos traitline offered the immobilize on stun, but that is irrelevant when compared to having an extra 15% damage modifier ( not counting the extra debuff of the added vuln stacks) that would kill the opponent outright.Also you said you died in a second during the stun from chaos traitline, that means that to take advantage of that , it had to be a base mesmer.
