Is it me or off hand dagger is just bad?

I like the style of a heavy plated warrior using finesse weapons like daggers but the off hand skills are simply lackluster. The execution of the skills sure are pretty tho.

I don't think they're so much lackluster as they just compete with shield - and shield is pretty amazing, what with the 3 sec, 25 sec CD block and 20 sec CD leap + stun (clears immob if traited). If they turned #5 into a frontal block we'd definitely be going places. Or maybe a slimmer front and back block, leaving the sides open.

Don't forget that the 5 can reflect projectiles with Shield Master trait as well. It's pretty decent for what it does, it's kind of a mix between axe and shield, while obviously not being as strong in either.

I like them, but i never use them in WvW only in PvE

I use DD in WvW, i build around the dagger 3/4 combo, which can hit very quick and very hard. The only frustrating part is trying to land the combo with 130 range weapon against all of the stealth and movement spam classes.

Dagger in general whether offhand or mainhand is boring and much weaker than it used to be. I actually prefer Axe or Mace mainhand. And Shield offhand forever!
