Features

  • Extremely high physical damage reduction via high Protection uptime, Overshield (Protection now grants -40% incoming damage) and -10% incoming damage from food

  • High sustained condition removal with Cleansing Synergy, Anticorrosion Plating, Cauterize, Prismatic Converter and combo fields with Hard Light Arena

  • High access to CC's with Static Shield, Magnetic Shield, Holographic Shockwave, Prime Light Beam and Prismatic Singularity

  • Moderate sustained healing with proper usage of Coolant Blast and co-ordination with Heat Therapy which can be buffed with Energy Amplifier

Weaknesses

  • Easily kited due to low mobility, reliance on Heat management and area denial

  • Low damage below 50% Heat - struggles to kill sustain builds

  • One stunbreak means it is crucial to use it only when necessary and to keep Stability up as often as possible

I've been using this build for months and enjoy it very much. I also find it to be extremely effective, albeit outclassed by meta builds and obviously less impactful in zergs than proper zerging professions. Still, it is capable of face tanking outnumbered fights with ease and can heavily punish players who commit to melee trades.

I can second this build as highly effective in WvW zerging. It doesnt output the damage of a Scourge but you have a lot of AOE Protection and condi clear, its really good at finishing downs during large battles because of the face tankability. You also nicely support your group with that AoE, especially if you are lacking a party.

I typically push with the melee ball then just go ham on their backline, you can basically delete any other DPS class almost instantly on this build. Its not uncommon to drop 3-4 people into downed with Corona Burst + Autos + Laser Disk + Laser Disk Toolbelt. The 100% crit chance and 200% crit damage are huge.

hello everyone.i use a similar build in traits: alchemy 222 holo 222 inventions 131

use a mix setting of marauder armor, carrion or viper trinkets, with pistol-shield (cleansing-energy) (cleansing stacks so well with purity of purpose) energy.

skills are healing turret (for purity of purpose ofc) hard line arena - elixir u - elixir gun (have 2 break stuns in the build) (one kit to swap to trigger cleansing and purity of purpose) elite swap between mortar and prime beam (using it better if over 50% heat to have some real burning field hehe).

this build ofc isn't a build that can deal with all classes nor kill someone in a 1 vs 1, but its quite effective in skirmishes parties and can do a lot of support in bigger fights.....it's quite fun for me!

If you are talking about ZERG.It's just a weaker version of reaper (no matter spike damage or defense), Not providing enough team support, only some melee range DPS. Even reaper get kicked out often in squad unless he switch to scourge. I bet zerg commander will prefer a healing scrapper much more than such holo.
