After the first couple days of PoFs release I no longer see anyone doing races, attending bounties (except for LFG), doing other random events, etc. Is everyone over the expansion now or something? I'd like to do more of the events to see what they are like but it seems like no one is interested in them and often they require at least a handful of people. Anyways, it's real sad feeling. Maybe only I'm seeing this massive drop in players? Idk.

When I look at where my guildies are at the world map I see that already quite a few have gone back doing the old map meta events. Why? Because they give you rewards and a sense of doing something useful, because they give you this awesome connection with 150 other people on the map, playing together in an MMO, using combos, healing people, charging with them into armies of enemies to burst everything down in your way to the next legend. Seeing the efforts of those who organize everything. Having many many ways to the endboss, so even if you've done the meta 10 times you still can go to a different location/lane and do something different. Always knowing that if you succeed a loot fest is waiting for all of you.

The complete lack of map wide meta events, world bosses or even good rewards in PoF is doing to these 5 maps the exact same thing it did to the core Tyria maps or the LS maps. People go in, play the story, go for map completion, look at the items the map has to offer (or not to offer), look at the gold per hour the map has to offer and then go to the map that has to offer the most.

I can only speak for myself but I don't want too many of the new items (many of the new armors look pretty similar anyways). I've done every heart 2-3 times, explored every cave, every ruin, every little camp I could find, got 100% map completion, got all mounts, done all bounties on 3 maps and don't even know why. So with what am I left? With an escort event that leads from one small camp to another, doing the same 2 step event chain that leads to one single champion fight?

What makes PoF maps special is how mounts are integrated (it's already getting old though) and how beautiful and large they are. They're huge LS or core tyria maps with those terribly static heart quests that were already terrible in the core game after leveling for the first time. They are areas where you have to kill or interact with everything you see, they don't give you any exciting rewards after finishing them for the first time. They, in no way, give a map replay-ability. Only events can do that and those events need to be not only fun, they need to be rewarding as well.

Also: Why do people still do Tequatl after all those years? Because it's so super fun doing it again and again? Because it's such a good gold/hour ratio? It's because the tiny chance of getting an exclusive skin. That's what PoF lacks as well.

Nah...the population has dropped quite a bit on the maps i think. Ive been thrown in empty instances today quite a few times and thats sad :/

Yes, I've also been pushed into an empty overflow shard because the other shards were soft capped. This game is so terribly dead.

Yes, I've also been pushed into an empty overflow shard because the other shards were soft capped. This game is so terribly dead.

Cant tell if sarcasm or not. But ive been on the same shard all day today, and i dont see /anyone/ theres no commander, nobody is doing the events, i know because ive been doing almost all of them aside from the bounties by myself. When i go into Amnoon theres at most 3 people there doing the coin event etc, and i havent gotten the low population map either. So if there are people im curious as to /where/ they are, im getting tired of playing by myself, and its very common on these new maps. Hell, i dont even get thrown in the shard that the rest of my guildies do lately.

I have this same feeling when I login to play these few days. Amnoon was swarmed with players during the first few days. Now I stood there for 10 mins and only occasionally I saw one or two players running around. This is only the second week and the town is already empty : o

Like what the other player said, when I checked on my guild, most of my guildies are back in Tyria. That's really sad : / Please come back to PoF guys...
