anonymous.7812
Could you explain why this material has had its vendor value removed? It is worthless as Volatile Magic, so why remove the vendor value?
Blocki.4931
"It is worthless as Volatile Magic" what? It's just in line with the other map currencies. Before it was an outlier and they have added a vendor that gives you map currency in exchange for VM, so they want to prevent any abuse by converting it directly into gold and skipping the gold sink that is the trading post. And of course they give hte least amount of magic, because you get the highest amount of resource from them. Well, at least until they mercy killed Istan. tomaxamot.2683
it's not just kralkatite ore that is worth nothing to npc merchants now, diflourite crystals as well. it's very stupid that Anet keeps trying to 'fix' things when it is perfectly good in the 1st place. they should have left it alone n let players earn some measly 3.5g per stack income since they already limited those LS 3 n 4 map currencies digs per day per account. volatile magic is basically useless once u bought the home node, the karma retributions n minis n guild hall decorations on each of the LS 4 maps. there's no use in trading it in for those material boxes cause they are so random n u also have to shell out X amount of copper/silver, etc. n if, when LS 5 comes out it will probably be a new map currency for those new maps. i bet later later on Anet will get rid of LS 3 map currency value as well, setting it to be worthless to npc merchants just like the winterberrys; u could only consume it to get unbound magic, n even those map currencies already have a daily account wide gathering cap. so sad, so sad.
