Steve The Cynic.3217
Or you look straight at them so that you can see their health bars.Or you melee them (almost all GW2 melee attacks are at least minor cleaves).
Plem.7356
These are not "easy" way to target them.Easy way - is like click Tab to select next hostile monster. This is the easy way.
Skotlex.7580
There isn't an easy way. Anet decided there's no need for targeting ambient creatures. :(I think the easiest way to smash them is by using action camera and just hitting in their direction. notebene.3190
Do miss 'Daily Ambient Creature Slayer' and 'Daily Reviver' (aka Claw of Jormag).

DeanBB.4268
Try to attack the closest hostile and instead you will target the furthest ambient in range. :(
NanoEliteSixSixSix.8935
Ground target. Kill them all at once. It's the only way to be sure.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
I either use an AoE (for multiples), or (since I'm working on Torch Master) move my camera until they are targeted (which is pretty darn easy).
