Fastest Route to Acquire Legendary Armor - Raids or WvW?

Hi guys,

I want legendary armor for the stat swapping capabilities. I don't really care about the skins of either the pve/wvw legendary armours. Would it be faster to take the pve route to acquire legendary armor, or the wvw route. Does spvp also give a way to acquire it?

Wanting to know your thoughts. Thanks all!

It takes 1,310 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets in total to obtain a full set of Triumphant Hero's armor.The maximum number of WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets that can be obtained in one week, requiring 1450 pips: 365 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets

1310/365 = 3.6 weeks

Each piece also requires : Legendary War Insight which costs 1,095 Skirmish tickets:1095/365 = 3 weeks per piece x6 pieces = 18 weeks for the set.

That's a 21.6 weeks time gate. Then you have the cost of materials on top of that, the most expensive of which, by far, is Ball of Dark Energy.

As Svarty said, it's 22 weeks for WvW and 12 weeks for raids as the fastest you could go. Raids are faster by far, but if you mainly WvW, just do that. For sPvP, you're limited by only being able to acquire the shards during seasons so you can only make progress at certain times but you can farm up infinite shards with no cap, just takes forever.

Don’t forget you need 300 Tickets and can only acquire 100 per season. So 26 weeks minimum if you can get the maxed rewards in the first few days of the third Season otherwise 27-28 weeks.

Doesn't WvW also require from 1500 to 2000 rank in order to buy armor pieces?

Let's assume you come at the end of the PVP season (which ends on 17th, so 2 more weeks).

You should hop and get the 100 currency for 2 legendary armor pieces from PVP, play wvw meanwhile, farm currencies/mats for 2 pieces of wvw and when next pvp season come u go get the other 2 pieces. In total 4 pieces from PVP and 2 pieces from WVW.

This is the fastest

2 x 1095 + 2 x 175 = 2190 + 350 =2540 needed for the 2 pieces of WvW armor. So 2540/365= 6.95 =~7 weeks4 pieces of PVP armor require 200 so 2 seasons. The time between last 2 seasons was 2 weeks? SO next season will start November and you can get the mats in 1 week if you don't play much. Last season I got em for 2 days.

So if you are doing WvW and PvP (together! Lets say you complete the rewards of the wvw during the weekends and monday to friday you play only PVP) right now you will be able to get full legendary set for 7 weeks. Which is less than 2 months. So if you start what I am telling you-you will have a full set before Christmas. And possibly, if you play a lot (because you will need 2500 asc shards from PVP - 4x400+ the mats for the asc items and note that one full season completion gives you only 400 so you will need to farm the last chest several times - 17 times in total, not including the 2 completions from the 2 seasons which you will do anyway for the 2x100 currency) - the end of November. The good news about farming PVP is 1st: faster reward track = faster glovers and 2nd - ~30g per completed last chest and you will complete it 17+ times which are sweet money needed for the t6 mats.
