GWMO.4785
You know we're missing out on am melee style based legendary staff. I've been running around with Bo on my thief since forever. Changed the skin a few times. But non of them felt prestige's enough. And when i say melee staff. i dont mean skins that look like a spear with a blade on one end. But a legit symmetrical staff. Like daredevil's staff or Bo. (We legitimately only have 2 melee staves!). Although bladed is fine. as long as its on both ends. Think about a double bladed sword. Basically a staff with a blade on both ends, Sith's weapon. A very popular one. Or perhaps an normal symmetrical staff with effects? Anything works really. As long as its on a legendary level and both ends of the weapon are the same.(Please Anet)

There are multiple staves that fit your description, just get Bifrost or Nevermore and transmute it to one of the skins you want.

Not designed in a way one would use them in a melee combat. Well... sure, there are some people that dont care and would like to use them regardless. However i think its fair to have a legendary staff that looks like a melee weapon. preferably in non- spear like symmetrical design

So that's not really an excuse; the only time taken for a new legendary is in it's design itself (and of it's 3 precursors), which is generally speaking no different to the work taken for another gen 2 legendary. Slap a glow, effects, footsteps and perhaps sound effects to it as well and you're done. I mean they basically did that to Astralaria. It shares the same effect of Twilight and/or Sunrise. Except its blue. Sharur shares the same day and night cycle difference like Eternity. Claw of the Khan-Ur's model is 90% similar to the basic ordinary Centurions Claw. Plus they did make 2 greatswords at the core game. Im pretty sure Anet can go that extra mile to make another staff. except this one should be melee oriented. Again, it doesnt has to be something completely mindblowing.
Dante.1763
I was pretty sure..and maybe i misread, didnt they confirm theyd continue making legendary weapons moving forward? If so, who knows whats coming next.

Illconceived Was Na.9781
Melee-oriented designsBranded Staff (symmetrical, mostly)Dominator Staff (blades at both ends)Lightward's Battlestaff (one of my favorites)Scythe styleDestroyer's ScytheOblivionScythe StaffSuntouched ScytheNear missesChaos Staff (top heavy, worse than a pool cue, better than caster staff)Dragonsblood Staff (flamey crystals both ends)Glacial Staff (not symmetric, not necessarily "caster" style)Spire of Samarog (not symmetric, too much heft)Sunspear (more a 'spear' than quarterstaff)The Legend Experiment (not enough heft)The Raven Staff (not symmetric)Zodiac Staff (not really a contender, just kind of cool on DD)edit: added chaos staff, thanks to suggestion from @GWMO.4785FYI: links are still bugged unfortunately, so best bet is visiting the gallery of staves on the wiki and using ctrl-f to find the one you want to look athttps://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_staves

GWMO.4785
Anyhow back on topic, i'd like to see a legendary melee based staff. And we definitely need more non- spear look alike symmetrical staves. Some shiny ones wont hurt either.

And we definitely need more non- spear look alike symmetrical staves. Some shiny ones wont hurt either.Since staff is now a melee weapon for two profs, absolutely more melee-oriented designed would be great.Of course, more design variety would be great in all sorts of other categories: a female humanoid blouse that is elegant without tons of frill/ornamentation, less-revealing female armor, more revealing male armor, and my personal favorites: non-trope-obeying designs (e.g. the slingshot shortbow in this game or a shield skin that looks like daggers (gw1) or non-stick-shaped staffs and so on.There are two problems: not enough artists on the planet to quench our thirst for more skins and there's not enough turnover of artists at ANet. Mostly the second part is a good thing, since there are some fantastic designs (personally, I love the Binding of Ipos and Shimmering Skyscale and Luminous Raptor, among others). Unfortunately, the dark lining to the silver cloud is it means we continue with largely the same aesthetic preferences the game has always had. That's not "bad" (it even allows more mixing/matching); it's just not as varied as we might also like.or tl;drMore options is more better; too bad it's so expensive to offer. Ototo.3214
I'm all for more legendary weapon options but if they made another staff I feel like they'd have to then make a 3rd legendary for all the other weapons again. Except the poor, poor underwater weapons.
