Xunlai Heroic Service Agents is seeking out active and social players to add to our roster. We are currently focusing our recruitment on new and returning players as to help progress and be a part of the next "generation" of Guild Wars 2 players.

If you are a new or returning player looking for an active and knowledgeable guild to get back the game with you have come to the right place. We are a 14 year established guild for long term players of any experience, casual and hardcore. We have the experience and dedication to assist anyone looking to progress in GW2 on any level while providing a long term community of friendly players to call home.

I know this recruitment post is quite lengthy, but I wanted to provide prospective members with all the information the could want about us and our activities. Feel free to read in part or in whole, but at the very least it is important to review our recruitment page on our website to know what to expect and what will be expected from members of our guild.

Every month we like to encourage our members long term and new alike to make some comments about their time with the guild. Comments for this month can be found on our previous recruitment post. https://redd.it/cx95pi

Here is a quick summary of our current activities.

  • T4 Fractals, regularly ran after reset, often include the challenge mote fractals.
  • Experienced Raiding, Pool of 30+ Experienced checked raiders.
  • Sign-ups for the new strike mission content.
  • Casual Raiding (No Exp Required). Announced in Discord each week with a signup sheet. Times vary.
  • Guild Missions Every Friday, 9PM-10PM Eastern US (We try to end before WvW server reset)
  • Small group WvW on Kaineng after Guild Missions on Friday at WvW server reset time
  • Random Dungeons, Desert Bounty Runs, Meta Events, and Achievement Hunting.
  • General hanging out, cracking dirty jokes, and posting dank memes on discord.

About XHSA

XHSA is a 14 year running guild established on release day of Guild Wars 1. We have always focused on the ideals that foster community as people are most important in our guild philosophy. It is the members that make any guild great and we recruit on the idea that our guild should. We strive for quality members that feel as we do in making our guild the best place to experience Guild Wars 2. We hold the belief that our focus on people and quality is what kept us going these 12 years no matter the status of the game and will continue to hold community as our top priority.

We are a guild most active in the evening in the American Time zones and are mostly filled with skilled long time players. Our present roster is around 100 members with mostly a PvE interest and a casual interest in other modes. The bulk of our most active members are highly skilled and experienced. Therefore, the environment in this guild is highly focused on end game activities such as T4 Fractals, Raids, Challenge Motes, and Achievements. However, we have much to offer players that are starting out or have not broken into the end\-game scene. We were all once "noobs" and can offer the best advice and assistance on how to reach your goals. We also have casual events to help people's experience get where they need to be.

Why join XHSA over other guilds?

XHSA is a guild that only recruits and retains players committed to our community. Everyone on our roster has their main community as XHSA. Meaning people here are here to interact, socialize, and make friends with the members that are here including yourself. This is very different from many non-rep, "recruit anyone guilds" where there, while they exist on the roster, may not hold that community or its members in their priorities, only to use that roster as a means to fill/join groups.

We are not the typical “pack the roster with as many bodies as possible” guilds. Here you will only find members active in the game and dedicated to our community. Very few guilds have a commitment to the level of quality we look for in our members. Our focus is about building an active and skilled community and only retaining people that share the commitment that makes a guild this great.

XHSA offers an open community that is easy to fit into. Everyone here were complete strangers when they joined the guild and have made it successful by reaching out and forming long lasting friendships. We want that for every member we accept into the guild. This guild is not some clique of friends that started a guild to recruit people under them and only include them when necessary. You can be certain if recruited we have every intent of getting to know you and including you in activities.

XHSA has a history of standing up to the test of time.

We won't die out like other guilds or have ever had to "rebuild" because of a stent of inactivity that had caused us to die out. The guild will not fall apart because some core group became inactive in the game. Most of our members are players that have been active for years and been with the guild for years. You can rest assured that any emotional or practical investment in this guild will last throughout your gaming experience.

When you are invited to XHSA you are being accepted by the community, not just being put on a roster by a leader or officer.

We use an application process so that the entire community can consider potential members. All members of the guild are able to discuss and vote to accept or decline an applicant. We like to make sure that each member will be a good fit and that we can offer them what they are looking for in a guild. This gives us the opportunity to get to know someone before we decide to make them a part of our community, and to also exclude players that indicate they may not be a good fit for us or we cannot provide what they are looking for. Be assured, when accepted, members already know you are coming and will be ready to welcome you. You will be joining a guild that actively decided to take you in as part of our community.

What does quality mean to XHSA

XHSA defines the quality of our guild by activity, participation, and the respect fellow members have for each other.

XHSA retains only active and participating members in our guild. Our philosophy is that a guild should be much more than a collection of people used to fill parties. We expect all of our members that want to join our community to also want to be involved in it. You will not find our roster to be inflated with inactive, non-representing, non-participating members. We feel that if we are going to be pushing quality we should also be able to deliver quality. Here you will find that guild that has what many others are lacking. That friendly feel with people that keeps you coming back to visit with friends.

Members recruited to XHSA have shown they hold the idea and concept of community highly in their priorities XHSA is the main guild and home to all of its members and represent it in a manner that reflects that. We don’t believe in spam recruiting, blind invites, or throwing cookie cutter recruitment messages at people's posts. We do not want to overfill our roster with randomly invited people and cap it at 200. You will find that our members were carefully selected on the basis of having similar goals, interests, and activity to form a well functioning and quality community. Members are recruited not just on those merits but also on the basis that we are able to provide what they are seeking.

We are also a guild that strives to be inclusive and respectful of everyone. Our members maintain the mentality that this is a video game and we are here to have fun. We have a very mixed roster made up of people of all creeds, nationalities, gender, disabilities, and sexual orientation. While our members certainly do have a crude, politically incorrect sense of humor, we do not tolerate behavior intended to be discriminating or demeaning, towards anyone members or not, for any reason.

Strike Missions

XHSA has high hopes for the new upcoming strike missions. These were marketed during the announcement as sort of an activity that was a stepping stone or introduction to raid mechanics.

As of this posting XHSA plans on hosting these on a weekly basis with the guild in hopes that this content format will be entertaining and rewarding enough to justify regular involvement. Currently we have over 20 people signed up for strike missions in less than 24 hours for this coming week. We are welcoming anyone wanting to come for organized groups with us to join us. We are not requiring any type of experience to sign up and these groups will be supported by our most experienced raiders.

XHSA considers itself highly proficient in end game content and strives to attract talent that would be expected to complete these things without difficulty in a timely manner. Let me say that raiding or meeting raiding requirements is NOT required for guild membership or to attend Casual Raids.

Our experienced raiding pool is somewhere in the neighborhood of 30+ active raiders with static team placements for our most practiced and top performing players. This pool is for members that meet certain experience and DPS requirements to establish a competency baseline to meet the expectations of experienced runs and goals. Players may join this pool to fill for our statics, join in or start on impromptu runs, or find a group to complete an achievement. The desire to join a static is not required to join this pool. The purpose of this pool is to serve as a staging ground, on discord, for the guild's statics, groups with experienced expectations, and challenge mote achievements. Details on our minimum competency requirements can be found in this link. https://xunlaiheroes.wixsite.com/xhsa/raid-competency

Casual raids take place usually 30 minutes after reset on a day of the week of our Senior Officer's choosing. This flex in dates allows people who may not be able to make one day, to make it on another week. The day/time/signup sheet will be posted weekly in the channel #guild-events by our Senior Officer. If you wish to join, it is strongly advised you direct message him to sign up early, although you can often get in by showing up a few minutes prior to the raid. The only requirements are having a meta build and having at least reviewed the encounters for the posted wing beforehand via guides and videos.

Our raid times and status are as follows. While most of the statics may be full, there are usually opportunities to fill for absences and join for open experienced raids held on other days. Perfect for people looking for experienced and smooth raid opportunities but cannot commit to a static team. All times below with the exception of Casual Raids require that raiders qualify for our experienced raiding pool.

  • Static Team 1 [Full] Mondays 10:00-11:30PM & Tuesdays 8:30-10:30PM Eastern US. (All Wings)
  • Static Team 2 [RECRUITING] Tuesday 9:30PM-12:00AM Eastern US. (Wings 1-4)
  • Casual Raids [Always Open] 8:30PM Eastern US [Exact day will be posted in advance in #guild-events in Discord]

If you are interested in raids with XHSA and would like to learn more about our requirements. Please see the link below.

Fractals is a highly practiced activity in our guild. You can bet with the new fractal coming out there multiple groups going around reset and practicing the challenge more if there is one. You will almost always find a full guild group to run this content effectively in the evenings. Build requirements for these groups may vary as some do both CMs along with their daily runs and meta may be asked for. However, most groups are pretty accepting of all builds so long as you have the appropriate AR for T4s.

The Icebrood Saga

The guild is always highly active in the newest releases. If you are looking for a guild to discover the new content with, there are always plenty of members to dice in with, discuss, and assist with new challenge. We do maintain a spoiler free guild chat for 7 days after release and have a spoiler channel in discord for those who want to discuss the plot of the new story before players have had a chance to play it.

Guild Hall and Missions

XHSA has a max level guild hall in Windswept Haven. Our Guild missions are currently every Friday at 9PM Eastern US. If members are online at that time, you are expected to attend as this is the best opportunity we have to mingle with your guildies. This is a high value event for us as we like to see people get antiquated with the guild, if they so happen to be online Friday night, via this event. Attendance for guild missions is something that is highly valued as a community builder in this guild.

Raffles & Giveaways

As a part of showing our appreciation for our members we do host a weekly giveaway at the end of our missions in addition to a monthly raffle with valuable prizes. To inspire trust and legitimacy in these we use a random selector to select a winner of 3 prizes every week/month. Members will be able to view the results every week and month including the pool of chances where they can ensure that they were included and/or how many tickets they had in the pool.

Our monthly raffle includes three prizes and executed on a purchased ticket system where members can purchase tickets through the month and is drawn at the first Friday of the proceeding month after guild missions. Members are permitted to purchase as few or as many tickets as they like through the month and have one week to claim the prize if they win. These prizes are based on the previous revenue generated by the previous month's raffle and often include prizes such as black lion skins or precursors.

We offer a weekly giveaway, to three winners, absolutely free, just for guild mission attendance. Members that show up on time, stay in the squad, and actively participate in the raffle are able to win. A bot will create a giveaway in Discord near the end of guild missions, where squad participants can react so the bot can pick 3 winners. Once an admin confirms you attended missions on time, your prize is sent to you. The prizes can include anything of value and of high demand such as ectos or mystic coins.

I would like to be a part of XHSA. How do I join?

It is highly encouraged that you glance over our recruitment posting on our website and any other information that interests you.

There is an application on our website that every recruit has to fill out. We believe in getting to know the members we invite into the guild. Each application is considered by the entire guild and is voted on. The required segment is very short, but it is in a prospective members best interest to provide as much detail as they can. Please allow 24 to 72 hours for your app to be posted and reviewed.

Unfortunately, I can not issue a reply to everyone, we get far too many applications for that. However, I encourage people to contact the Director - Mireles Lore.5942 or the Deputy Director - ShaBangBang.9172 if they have questions, want to inquire about the status of their application, or just want to talk to an actual person about recruitment.
