The reward track does not give currency or clover, or any of the usual. Instead we get an emote or karma, which may surprise Anet but WVWers have tens of millions of spare karma already.

It does, read the other chests not only the final one, its stated in some of them that they contain clovers and the currency.

Personally, I wouldn't complain about it. If you've saved enough WvW reward potions, you can get the emote, shirt, 3 back items, AND the rare weapon skin in a few seconds. All of that would cost over 600 new map currencies, heavy RNG for the weapon skin, and at least 30 - 40 hours of your time doing PVE achieves. In 5 hours, with boosters, you can get all of that for free. Plus, leftover new map currencies.

The track has both currency and clovers, they are just placed earlier in the reward track than usual. So you are basically complaining that you can get the stuff you want without having to finish the track ...
