What part of Tequatl the Sunless fight can drop Ascended gear?

Tequatl on reset drops 4 chest of different colorsand some base loot.

Does the Ascended chest drop independently of the Chest?Or does it drop exclusively from the daily exotic chest?or does it drop from any of the chest?

I think it is part of the loot drop table from the daily dragon chest

It drops from the large Dragon Chest after the event is completed, the one with the Golden statue on top of it.It's daily locked though so you only get 1 chance per day to get a Tequatl's Hoard drop or a random ascended gear box.
