Fix Crystal Desert Casino "Meta"

We all know this is not really a meta event but just something you added it to increase relevance of this event. That's all fine and stuff, but why is the reward in the Choya chest and not in the general chest you receive for participating in and succeeding at the full clear of the actual event?

Not only does this mean that people who lag out in the 15ish seconds that the Choya is up (on a very laggy meta map!) do not get a meta reward, it also encourages players to not participate in the actual event at all but just leech it and wait at the Choya spawn instead, while players who do do the meta actually risk lagging out on way to the choya or when mapping there and missing their chest.

There's already a chest for total event reward at the end of the 3rd round, it can't be hard to simply put the Hero's Choice chest in that chest instead of the Choya event.

There aren't that many leechers for this event, because if not enough people help and it fails, the Choya Pinata won't spawn.

Did this countless of times and never lagged out. Shouldn't happen to people with a solid internet connection and without a wooden pc so I doubt it's the meta event/the map or the game itself that throws people out more than in some random & rare occasions.

Regardless of lagging out, it's weird the meta doesn't reward the actual meta event, but the post bonus event instead, and you don't even need to do the actual event to get it.

I have no problem with that. People come to Matriarch at xx:10 since years just for the gemstone and leave. It's pretty similar with Chak and Tarir - people come to the map, go afk and hit Chak/Vines a single time resulting in getting the whole reward. The whole system would need an enormous overhaul which is not justified at the moment (and most likely never will be).

This meta needs at least 6-8 people who will earn enough coins for the pinata to spawn. I have never ever had lagspikes on that map, in contrast to Elon riverlands meta (pre Augury Rock) and especially on hounds meta, on Vabbi map. I have a stable connection.

The game may have lasted better if Anet had not allowed so many opportunities to leech, but its way too late for that now. This approach fits the business model better I guess, get in, loot, glance at the gem store, move on.

I have always considered the choya event a part of that chain of events (call it "meta" or not). From that perspective, choya is the logical point to have the reward chest. :)

You do realize the meta includes the Choya Pinata don't you? The Choya spawns only if all 3 of the tiers of coins are collected, if that doesn't happen it's a fail...there fore the Choya is the end of the "meta" and as the poster above me pointed out, the logical place for the reward chest.

Does it matter? The piñata is the final event of the chain. Regardless of if it’s considered/written as a bonus event or not (it’s most likely written as such for flavour, as it’s a celebration style event, not because it’s actually a bonus). The Casino coin collections are pre-events, technically.

Are you as concerned that the Elon Riverland hero’s choice chest comes from the doppelgänger and not technically the Augary Rock meta, even though the doppelgänger is the final event in that chain too? Let’s be consistent here.

I've actually grown to thoroughly enjoy the Casino Blitz. It's something a little different, a little less serious or involved, and a little less stressful. Yet I can still be rewarded with something I feel is significant (Amalgamated Gemstone). Sure, players can just hang about waiting for the Pinata to appear if they like, I don't really mind personally, I just go about my business collecting coins and other things I see along the way. Players can afk in almost all metas in the game and still be rewarded, I can't control that, only what I do.

I enjoy Casino Blitz, it's different than most of meta's and I don't lag there too much. Just turn down number of visible players around you if your pc isn't good enough to handle all of them and it's fine.

Also - not many people are eager to collect coins for 15 mins, and only like 6-8 ppl are needed for that. But then usually those 6-8 people would fail to kill piniata fast enough and it's good that a lot of players come just for the kill - the effort of the people gathering the coins is not wasted then. At least that's how I see it.

I just wish I could ever drop any rare and expensive item :expressionless:

I'm aware it's called a bonus event, but the Choya doesn't happen if you don't successfully complete the three tiers of the Coin portion, calling it a bonus is just a misnomer, it's part of the chain.

Btw... just to let you know that infusion drops are at a ~0.01% drop rate (that's 1 in 10,000!) It's possible... but you might not even achieve this in your lifetime, if you're unlucky or the game doesn't shut down or people stop attempting it. Try for something a bit more common from Blitz Casino, such as the Unopened Endless Choya Pinata Tonic which is probably at around a 0.1% drop rate (roughly the same as the Ley-Line Anomaly Tonic drop) and while it's moot due to the tradeable tonic, the Unopened variant is a nice collector's item that can be sold for quite a bit of gold.
