Why? The system is working as intended and those with lower levels of patience have a work-around.

he's talking about Anet's stance on using LFG to buy/sell stuff and referring ppl to use TP, shovels are account bounded; i have no problem either way

contact me in-game if you are interested in buying

I wouldent advice putting up a wtb lfg since that is lfg abuse and may get reported.

it's not like you are trolling people

it's really no different from those selling raid runs, and dungeon and fractal runs back in the old days

and when HoT just came out it was flooded with guilds looking to buy shovels

They allow selling raid/dungeon/fractal run because it is still technically looking for a group to do a group activity.

not really, it's a transaction, they are selling a service, you are paying up to buying a service, they can do the raid without you

it's just like countries where prostitution is outlawed, where if you have a romp with a girl you met at a nightclub is ok, but as soon as an exchange of money takes place between the two parties it is illegal

and you are paying up hundreds of gold compared to just a few gold, the transaction amount is huge

Still, it would be nice if they'd increase the drop rate, or make them tradable/buyable on the BLTP. Yesterday I spent 1,5 hrs running around doing whatever tasks/events I could and didn't get a single shovel. Not one. It's very disheartening.

Are you sure you were on the correct map? O_o

Back when my guild still needed them I did SW in sessions of around 10 shovels. Pretty sure it never required that long in any of the sessions although having the misfortune of arriving at a map that just finished VW will add around 20 minutes.

I'm sure. But the SW map is usually pretty sparsely populated these days, so that probably makes it worse.

depends on the server, OCE weekdays on SoS are usually light because most population are from OCE

Just to be clear I wasn't expressing my opinion about it. That is just what ANet have said about it. The post should still be somewhere on the forum. Might have been one of the previously pinned threads in general discussions.

I have no problems getting shovels the 'old fashion' way.Step1 - Join an lfg RIBA group - there is almost always one or more - though there are down periods during the day depending on your longitude.Step2 - Just kill a few enemies at each fort before moving to the next fort. You don't need a gold medal in the event, a bronze will get you a shovel.Step3 - Keep rotating from R to I to B to A and by the time the breach happens you should have 12 shovels.Step4 - If you do some of the other 'boss' events that pop up, you'll get even more shovels. I don't think the escort event reward with a shovel. If they do, they're rare.

I probably average a good 20 per run. Of course, if you find the SW map a grind, then you might as well try to but them :)
