#5 Kneel Thief Rifle doesn't Work

Hitting the #5 key with Rifle in hand should make the Thief kneel. He will kneel but stand right back up. I've tried restoring all mouse defaults and that actually fixed a #1 key issue I had. I play WvW almost exclusively and I need this mechanic. If I hold down the #5 key my character will kneel and standup and kneel and standup repeatedly. My next move will be to delete the game and restore it. Please help !

I have now discovered that this idiosyncracy is only apparent in PvE areas. While I am in WvW I can kneel just fine. I tried another keyboard but that didn't work either.

Now I have discovered that when an enemy is about, my #5 key (kneel) works just fine. So, I guess its a non problem ? Its just sort of weird that I can kneel in WvW anytime whereas in PvE only when I need it. So concludes my short story of erstwhile 5 conundrum.

This may be related to the issues I'm having with PvE versus WvW. I purchased the Snowflake Gobbler and it does NOT work in the WvW environment but DOES WORK in the PvE arenas. Is this as its supposed to be ?

Many items are disabled in WvW/PvP.
