Neisan.3594
So I read on the wiki that you need to make them with in the mystic forge but apparently it doesn't work with the mystic forge conduit.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
Some items, unfortunately, only work with the LA Mystic Forge...or only work when you change the order of the items placed in a Mystic Forge.

Super Hayes.6890
No version of the forge is working for me. I cannot make this item :(
Super Hayes.6890
Can we get a Dev to acknowledge this bug? Right now it feels like Anet is unaware.
Heibi.4251
Also found a bug in the ingredients. The Modrem Lodestone version doesn't work. The number of ingredients it says you need are incorrect and it won't activate.

You can go back and forth into the character select screen to change it between different versions of the recipes.
ShiningBlue.3268
How often has this worked for you?
Gumbolia.5381
I can't make any of these either. It always requires 250 of each - mordrem or putrid, Lion's Arch or Royal TerraceMacOS 64-bit GW client
Glass Hand.7306
The recipes worked for me the first few times I tried it but now it's requiring 250 of each so it's blocking progress on this achievement for me.
Eloc Freidon.5692
The mystic forge recipe works on my Weaponsmith/Armorsmith which attempted it first, while all my other characters use the bugged recipe.
Aru.4156
Finally got together all the lodestones only for the LA mystic forge to require 250 of each (which is ridiculous bc I only need 4 total and can't afford all the lodestones). Tried the character loading screen log in/out several times as a previous commentor mentioned, and still can't get the recipe requiring just 10 of each. Really bummed out as the illuminated weapons are perfect for one of my toons :/ Any way this can be fixed?
Jong.5937
It took many tries but, about 2 hours ago, logging in and out of the same character while standing next to the mystic forge eventually worked for me. Just keep trying if you want to craft before there is a fix.

TobyTucker.5317
I was having the same problem with the Mystic Forge in L.A only wanting stacks of 250. Then I tried the Forge at the Garrison on the Alpine map in WvW and WAS able to craft singles. Good news for those presently on the Blue and Green teams. Glass Hand.7306
I think this bug is the result of having two recipes with exactly the same ingredients. There is no way to look up the recipe and get a unique answer. The result is many people getting the wrong recipe. I think a simple fix is to remove the high quantity recipe. There are two sets of ingredients that can be used. One uses modrem lodestones and one uses putrid essences.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
There are 2 recipes that use Mordrem Lodestones (10 and 250); there are two recipes that use Putrid Essences (10 and 250). This may be confusing.
Moira Shalaar.5620
I am having the same problem with the forge requiring 250 of each mat instead of 10.
Jong.5937
Just keep going back to the character selection screen and reloading your character. After a few tries it will accept the other recipe.
Jwake.7013
yeah, tried different orders tried both version of the recipe in LA and WvW and my personal Conduit and nothing working. Switched characters and after hopping back into the WvW mystic forge it did work with the split stacks of 10 with the Mordrem Lodestone but not the Pile of Putrid Essence. Also had to close and reopen the forge window each time otherwise had several lodestones greyed out for it.

Ended up having to get a friend to craft it.
Jong.5937
Sorry to hear that. It took about a dozen tries, but eventually it worked for me.
dunclair.8735
I've never been able to get it working on the MacOS client, no matter which mystic forge I used or how many times I relogged. But I just dusted off the super old Windows PC and updated the client and... it's worked every time so far. Kind of annoying to have to switch computers to craft something, but at least I'm able to do it. Not everyone has that option though.
