Black Frog.9274
I've enjoyed and been educated by your posts over the years. I'll keep an eye out for your wisdom and playtesting for a month or two. Maybe you'll find some secret to P/P working out. Until then, may your backstabs be maxed. Salud! babazhook.6805
I tested a condition build first day in and am going to get around to Power next. I really want to try and make p/p in some form work. My initial thoughts is I might have to go hybrid rather then full power.
Sir Vincent III.1286
In PvE, the Head Shot and Black Powder change are really good for my P/P build. In WvW, Power P/P becomes really challenging due to the power nerf to Unload. However, even though Potent Poison's duration bonus was nerfed, the damage bonus and the extra stack are intact. Ever since they changed Deadly Ambition to trigger on Dual-wield only, I've been experimenting if I can swap Unload for stacking poison instead instead of pure physical damage. The idea is to make use of Deadly Ambition to stack poison on my target while stacking Might on myself using all initiatives. That would be enough to trigger Maleficent 7 to gain 7 initiatives and more Might stacks. Then swap to Shortbow and seal the deal with Chocking Gas. The Daze from Choking Gas will prevent/interrupt cleanses while stacking more poisons. Then swap back to P/P, use Mercy, Mark -- rinse and repeat. For an aggressive build, I take DA/Tr/DE.For a balanced build, I take DA/SA/DE.If you want to go super-aggressive, you can try your hand on babazhook's Condition DA/TR/DrD D/D build. You can stack bleed and poison using your Dual-wield skill.Note: babazhook seems able to make his build work, but my own problem with Daredevil is running out of initiatives. IMO, I got spoiled by M7 and Mercy -- I can't go anywhere without them. :)

You can get secondary and tertiary effects much more easily than with a power build. Mix this with uncatchable and your innate dodges and evades your are adding condition damage with nearly everything you do. If you rotate between the dodge the deathblossom and your #1 attacks you can still get damage out when you have no INI. This much harder to do on power. For P/P in particular I really think you need DE. My own version is a hybrid and uses p/p and d/d in a DA/DE/TR build. I have maxed out INI gain using Mercy, Mali 7, RFI and quick pockets. Unlike the pure condition build i referenced this build swaps weapons a lot so I use doom sigils on each. With Grievers my Condition damage is marginally less then a pure condition build while the power damage is many times higher. This maximizes the dual wield skills which both add poison while the p/p side adds that might. What you lose is armor and vitality when compared to a pure condition build but the intent is to dish out more damage faster. Mali 7 ramps up quickly be it when using DB or unload because of crits and when low on INI the #1 attacks are dangerous to an enemy.Base power 2170 Base Crit rate 41 percent. Base ferocity add 181 percent. Base Condition damage 1759. Mali 7+mercy+RFI+Quickpockets and the TR line for added INI.Down side health points 15800 armor 2180.I might swap out the quickpockets for BA as if you ramp up might stacks BA confusion stacks can tick real hard. While a Doom Sigil used on each weapon set I am testing various others as the second sigil (On swaps or on crits both make sense)
